Postby jenn0295 » Wed May 05, 2010 9:56 am

They're all so cute but we've found we're more a pocket family :) Only wore the mutt once & the cammo fitted twice (light staining on that one) I'm taking offers ;)

IHA:

2 G Diapers- covers w/ 3 snap-in waterproof parts, no inserts
blue & green, size Medium
The velcro & snaps are in great condition. 2 of the waterproof liners are a little stained, but the outer covers are not. The inserts are NOT crunchy! (prob bc they were only line dried.) Used for 5 mo.
I will take $10 for both, shipping included. Paypal accepted.

ISO:

More inserts
wipes- velour
Mama cloth panty liners

Update: SOLD

I have never done this before, but the girl who was going to buy these apparently doesn't need them any more.

I have three size small Thirsties covers (not the duo). One yellow, one green and one candy pink. They were only used for about 2 months. The only wear is at the gussets and the tabs/aplix. Only line dried.

It would be $20 shipped for everything (in the US only). If you want individual ones, I'll ask $9 shipped each. Outside of the US I'd like shipping paid.

Dying wool yarn...question

Postby MrsLewis907 » Thu Jun 17, 2010 9:11 pm

I have 3 skeins of bare bulky-weight wool yarn (100%) that I want to dye and make longies.

I know some dyes don't work on certain things (like koolaid will only work on animal fiber, not plant)...can I use RIT dye on wool? If so, is it goo to use? I want some bright vibrant colors, and I want green and orange (my inspiration)...I can get green koolaid, but I'm not sure on the orange, and I know where I can get some bright green and orange RIT dye. What other choices would I have for dying brighter colors??

This is my first time dying yarn myself, so I'm thinking of going easy and doing it in the crockpot...if I can use that method with the other dyes, anyways (I know you can with koolaid, here's a tutorial). Looks like there she used icing dye, too.

What would be my best bet at getting those really bright vibrant colors?
