How do you sterilize used dipes?

Postby BrandyJ. » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:14 am

I bought some newborn AIO. I'm scared to boil them due to ruining the pul.. How do you clean used dipes??

Also, how do you prep new pocket dipes? I know to boil the insert, but what do you do to the shell?

Thank you

I always do a hot water rinse, and then a hot water full wash cycle with a splash of bleach to kill any bacteria.

No prepping needed for the outer shell of a pocket. What are the inners made of that they need boiling? hemp?

I have never boiled any of my diapers, new or used, but that doesn't mean you can't. I personally would do several hot washes, some with a bit of detergent and some without.

Most shells only need one wash before using.

A little bleach would be fine too!
