I FINALLY found a good deal on Bum Genius Elementals. I LOVE THESE DIAPERS!!! I bought 5 of them for 19.99 which qualified me for free shipping. Spend $100 and get free ship.

My son wore this diaper for 4 hours and not a leak in site!!

wait- 5 for $19.99 each or 5 for $19.99 TOTAL? I just checked out the site and saw that they were $19.99/each so just wanted to make sure you didn't find them on another part of the site for cheaper. :)

DOH.. I should have clarified..sorry

yes, 19.99 EACH..but still..that is a huge savings..about 5 bucks off each diaper plus free shipping.

girl, if they were 5 for 19.99..I'd scream and buy every single one..LOL

I bought one used. It is my favorite diaper now. It is super duper trim, holds TONS of wet and no fuss because it's all in one. I had to buy more for when we go out.

ETA: used they are like 12-15 dollars plus shipping..so I figured to buy new this way was worth it.

haha, thanks for clarifying! Yes, if they were 5 for $19.99, I would probably buy 50 of them

I don't have any of these in my stash yet so maybe I'll buy a couple. DH thinks I'm crazy that our l/o isn't even here yet but I'm going nuts on buying diapers! He's like "what if you don't even like cloth diapering?" I told him I was already slightly obsessed with it so I can't see myself not liking it! lol.

I bought a system of diapers when I first started cloth diapering. My now 3 year old was 16 months old and I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I researched and researched and really thought I had found THE system to buy. I spent a lot of money. They are "softbums" The wick and leak horribly. I had to change their clothes everytime i changed their diaper..NOT WORTH IT!!! I kind of gave up..also, I had a sick baby in the NICU for months.. so, now that we are pregnant again..surprise!!! I've gotten back in to the swing of things. I love love love cloth diapering , especdially now that I have GREAT DIAPERS!!!!

I'm using pockets (love) and bum Genius elementals..LOVE!!! and really there are no other diapers for me. I have a few covers and fitteds, but they are way too bulky for my son. He has a hard time sitting up and they throw him off balance, but I can see how I'll like them for a nonsitting baby. I have some for the new baby.

Good luck..I think you'll love it..especially if you find the right system for you.

Thanks! I have bought a few different brands and types so I'm hoping that at least one of them works for us!

We are doing prefolds and thirsties duo covers for newborn since we thought this would be the most economical for all of that newborn pee/poop that happens TONS.

For when she gets a little older, we also bought a bunch of pocket diapers from various companies.

We are also going to try the hyrbid AI2's that we bought from GroVia, Charlie Banana, Best Bottom and a few other places.

DH likes the AI2 concept the best so far. I think the idea of being able to reuse the cover (as long as it's not yucky of course) and just change the inside part eased him into the whole concept of cloth diapering. He is also excited about the diaper sprayer- go figure. Men and their gadgets I guess, lol.

I am not crazy about this diaper I guess because its like a prefold and their bums are wet when they pee BUT they are super trim and the other night my LO fell asleep and I didn't get to put her nighttime diaper on. I had forgot she had the elemental on or I would have woke her. In the morning it was soaked but the pee stayed it. The bed was completely dry!!! I was pretty impressed :D

This is the organic one right? I loved this diaper on my super skinny, heavy wetting toddler. We used them when we went out for something reliable and trim. I added a SBish doubler and we were set. They looked great under jeans.

So far with dd2, they are not as trim because she is small.

I got them in like 3 days!! I'll tell you they are out of most colors bc they are on back order from the manufacturer. But they have white and a couple of the other colors.

LOVE THEM!!

Thanks, I ended up ordering 5! You're right, most of the colors were out of stock, but that doesn't matter too much to me.

They said they already shipped, so that's awesome! :)

Thanks again for posting! :D
