BGOS versus Kawaii

Postby jessm » Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:57 am

Has anyone used both? I was planning on using BG OS pockets, but a member pointed out the Kawaii's to me, she said she loves them. The price is unbeatable! Also, do you ladies recommend hook and loop or snaps? I feel like snaps will probably hold up better, but hook and loop will probably be easier?

This is the link to the kawaii diapers if anyone is interested

I've done both. I think you get what you pay for with Kawaii. If you want a cheaper product and don't mind if the velcro doesn't hold up as well over time then I see no issue.
The velcro and laundry tabs on my BGOS are holding up better. I actually traded my kawaiis for more BGOS because I like them more.

I would NOT get the microfleece liners from Kawaii. They are so pilly and rough after a few washes..in the meantime, my fuzzi bunz that are used in heavy rotation for 6 months look brand new.

I don't think Kawaii is bad. I think it's nice that they are affordable. I'd just rather spend my money on products that are made better and will last longer.

I'm planning to get a couple of Kawaiis just to try, but have BGOS, too.

I prefer velcro. The snaps can be difficult and they frustrate me. The downside with the velcro is that it does start to curl (and I only line dry) and my daughter has just figured out that she can grab them. :P

With the Kawaii the leg elastic is very tight and leaves red marks. I just sold all of mine because I wasn't a fan of that. The minky diapers aren't so bad with that, I don't think.
