Busted snap on a one size pocket

Postby Beegee » Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:47 am

I'm Beegee, and I'm a total sewing noob.

I need to replace one of the snaps on a pocket dipe. Is there a certain type of snap to buy in a fabric store? Are all snaps created equal? Are they easy to put on? I know a lot of mamas on here make their own dipes... so I know it can be done, provided I'm not a complete idiot (which i obviously sound like on this forum, teehee!).

No tips at all...I just got a sewing machine last week and made my first attempt at replacing velcro only to find a diaper with half the velcro not attached yesterday. Your post made me laugh, though, so I just wanted to thank you for that. :)

The plastic snaps that usually come one diapers are not typically found in stores. Usually only metal snaps.

I ordered a snap pliers from kam snaps and they are really easy to used and they have a video on how to used them as well on their website.

My order actually included 200 snaps for i think in total $36.
