Is it worth the cost?

To buy a bunch of newborn fitteds as opposed to prefolds? I know GMD makes some good inexpensive ones... but $5 a piece is still a lot more than prefolds. I would love to buy some fitteds to go with my prefold stash but can't decide how worth it it is... Are they much better?

No idea, because I love my prefolds. Never wanted to try anything else!

For me I am just going to do PF for the newbie stage mostly with some fitteds thrown in there.. Then I am going to resell the PF to fund the rest of what i am messing for the bigger one size stash. I don't know how well the GMD fitteds hold their value but PF seem to hold it pretty good since they are used very little along with boutique fitteds.

If you can re-coop part of what you are spending on the fitteds then i probably wouldn't be a bad deal if you got them.. But that i just my take on the newborn stage, lol. Tho i have never CD a newbie, since my girls were 10 months old when we started.

I personally used primarily PFs and then had a few fitteds (I think 6?) that I used at night just to help with diaper changes when it was dark and I was exhausted and still learning how to use cloth overall. I don't think I would get a bunch, but some might be helpful (though I don't think necessary).
