first day in cloth! X-Posted- fluff pics!

Postby Aug05Dec11mommy » Tue Jan 10, 2012 1:04 pm

Today is our first day using cloth. I am so glad I decided to try it bc some of the covers I have just fit and the NB prefolds just fit also. I think if I waited even 1 more week they wouldnt have fit her. I am really nervous about the washing part of the CD. I am afraid my washer isnt going to get the diapers clean enough. Any suggestions??

Adorable!!!

What kind of detergent will you be using? I was afraid of that at first but I haven't had a problem.

Just a tip- make sure the prefold is not sticking out of the cover at all or it will leak. I've learned that from experience. lol

Adorable!!! She is gorgeous!

The washing will be much easier than you anticipate, I'm sure. I was scared, too, but it's really not bad at all. :)

:hb: So sweet!
Don't worry about washing. Run a rinse cycle, then hot, heavy wash with detergent (you can add oxiclean, water softener if necessary), the another rinse cycle (with a plant based fabric softener if necessary). It may take a bit of trial and error to perfect your laundry system, but the diapers will get clean.
