Help please.. wash routine and fixing old issues

Postby sunnib » Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:57 am

We have been having issues for months with rash and have tried everything I could think of to fix them to no avail. I was under the impression that we had soft water but a friend from here that lives close to me said she uses Calgon and has never had an issue. I want to try that next and know I should probably strip them, do I use the Calgon while stripping them? If so, how should I do it? Once they are stripped and ready for a new routine at what point do I add the Calgon during the wash? Thanks ladies :)

You can use calgon to strip diapers. You can do a long hot wash with just calgon and then do another hot rinse with just water. Depending on how much suds and bubbles are in your first wash with just calgon would depend for me if i would do another with calgon just to make sure that all the residue was gone.

Do you use any diaper cream? CJ's butter is awesome. Maybe it's just chafing. What kind of fabric is in the inners?

I have never used Calgon, so no advice there.
