NB Fluff question

Postby stuckunderhere » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:20 pm

Okay Samuel was almost 2wks late and weighed over 8lbs. We started CDing him with Bummis Small PFs (7-15lbs) and size Small covers when he was 2wks old, so he hit about 9lbs at that point. With baby #2, I wonder if I'm bound to have another big baby or if this one will be more on track around 6.5-7lbs. Would you get XS Prefolds/covers? I am planning to CD from day 1 at the birthing center...

If I were to do it all over again, I would probably buy G diapers and LOTS of cloth inserts. They are super trim and tiny which is great on a NB. The fact that they are a hybrid makes them easy to clean. Also you will probably need a TON of diapers. I tried to start cloth at 2 weeks and it was really rough. If its too hard I would wait and start again when baby is bigger. We restarted at 6 weeks.

Well Sam was CD'ed from 2wks old and all the up to fully PTed. So I am covered with sizes. I just dont have anything smaller than a Small. But he was a big baby... Should I get XS/NB sizes for this one?

Well I'm definitely no expert here, FTM, but I would suggest getting some newborn size diapers or xsmalls just to be on the safe side. Cause you never know how big this one will be or if it'll be late or early. If you don't use them you can always sell them. I'm trying to CD starting when we get home from the hospital too, good luck to you!
