Don't Follow Martha Steward's Directions

Postby puddingpop » Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:17 pm

Hey Ladies I'm having a super lazy Easter Sunday. We did dinner yesterday with my FIL. I want to share and show you all the follow. My very sweet MIL sent us a home made Easter egg dying kit. It's from Martha Stewart's web site. Here's the link for this kit

Now it says to use a glass bowl. I did this and going to tell you all don't! See below for the reason why. Feel free to CC if you'd like as well.

All wrapped up and cozy in the glass bowl.

POP! Oh crap it's an egg explosion!! The water was only simmering.

What was left of my bowl :( :?

After a 40 minute clean up the eggs are in a metal pot. Screw what Martha Stewart says.

Here's a close up of one. They look pretty cool.

My grandmother learned that the hard way too! Wonder why Martha says to use glass?!?

The eggs, however, are AWESOME! I think I'm going to try that next year!
