Just a few from my recent session. Keep in mind that I had a super fussy 3 month old to work with!! He fussed and cried pretty much the whole time, haha. The mom said pouty pictures would look more like "him", lol. I did a lot of family pictures because he was happier being held. CC welcome of course, let me know if you want settings, but I think mostly they were about 2.5-3.2 ap, 1/300ish ss, iso 100-200.

ETA let me know how skin tones look, dad was really magenta and blue compared to mom, and baby was more yellow but that's kind of how they looked IRL too so I didn't want to change it *too* much.

THanks everyone!

Tasha, do you mean 3 and 4? Those aren't in camera crops, I actually have more of mom's face to the right of him. But when I include that, he's way centered. My mentor is always giving me a hard time for having images that are too centered so I cropped it with the rule of 3rds in mind. But I could include a different crop... Although I have to admit, i kind of like him off to the right on #4 because it leaves some open space where he is looking off. :)

yea, I agree with number 4, i do like the open space. NUmber 3 just bugs me for some reason. Maybe how close the top of her head is combined with how close to the left. :dunno: But 4 is pretty much the same.

I don't know.

It's a combination of things.. first my ap is pretty low. Second, I was standing close to the baby, and 3rd the background was very far away from the baby. Make sense?

Thanks, btw!

Very nice !!!
and I have a question, really vivid colors and clear, bright faces...is it photoshop or time of the day-lighting? or both?

Exactly!

If the photo is underexposed, you won't have those clear bright faces, and no amount of photoshop is going to make it work nicely. It will just add graininess.

Vic's exposure was beautiful here, so the colours are vivid and the skin is nice and bright and clear. Very nice work Vic!
