Then let me know what you did? LOL

This pic was taken with my crappy point and shoot and not my DSLR so it's not great quality and kinda washed out.

I tried to fix it up a bit but I'm still not happy. Anyone wanna take a crack at it?

oooooh tough one! The lighting is dappled, and it's already had some editing, and I'm guessing it was shot in JPEG not RAW. With the straight out of camera version, posted extra large, I could take a shot at it if you want.
Can you post the original version, with the longest side set to 900?

Here's my edit.

I lightened it up, changed the midtone, took out some blue and green.

Those both look MUCH better. Thank you!

I was trying to post the original but my card slot stopped working on my laptop.

Do you all have a really nice point and shoot you carry around when you aren't using your DSLR? I'm not happy with mine at all! Think it's time for a new one.

yes, i actually was a point and shoot user before a DSLR user. what i have is a Sony Cybershot 10.1 megapixel :) i still carry my point and shoot around for that you never know what good shot you'd get while you're out and about with the family :)

you're so welcome :). I've gotten the best shots from a point and shoot and have a few things to wanna fix i did that "oo this is a perfect shot dangit that blur there or shadow there." when i go to upload and look at the shots lol

you're welcome!
is that the largest file you have of that photo? I can email it to you, but it won't print very nice b/c of the low quality/resolution.

For a good quality point and shoot I don't think anything beats the Panasonic Luminix. It's awesome! I also have a Cannon that I love.

The Panasonic was the exact one I have been eyeballing since I did some research. Any particular one?? They have several!
