I need a new camera. I'm no photographer, but I take a ton of pictures and my 3 year old camera is starting to crap out. I need nothing fancy, just point and shoot and good quality photos.

So, any ideas, best camera under 500 dollars, small (doesnt have to be super tiny, just fit in a diaper bag) and relatively easy to use? Fast shutter speed is really my major requirement, and decent evening photos would be nice as well.

Thank you ladies :D

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but I got a Nikon D3000. I paid around $500 for the kit at Sams. It is on sale right now at Best Buy for $499. That is the camera and lens. You will need to get a bag for it too. The deal I got at Sam's included a bag. Sam's also had a Canon kit for about the same amount but it came with 2 lenses, but I prefer Nikon or I would have gotten the Canon.
