I got my D700 last week and it ROCKS!

I took it out last week for a spin, to test the ISO. I used my 105 mm macro, to test a high iso on a closed down aperture, and see how the AF system worked compared to the D90. I think with a still subject, this will make a great portraiture combo, because I can crank the iso to close down!

This was shot at ISO 3200, believe it or not!

And I took Leo out today when I caught a glimpse of this gorgeous light!

Shot with the 50 mm lens, amazingly at F1.4. I have NEVER got sharp images like this at F1.4 with the D90, normally you'd have to close down to about F2.8.

Ooooh I :hb: the one of Leo!! Beautiful light! And I'm super jealous of that ISO, if I set my rebel to ISO 800 I have too much noise, even with noiseware! I can't wait to upgrade one day.

Beautiful!!! I'm getting my new lens tomorrow and am trying to wait out for the D800 announcement. But if they don't get it out this summer, I'll be going for the 700. I LOVE the ISO on the 700. Can't wait to see more of the photos you produce! All so wonderful!

Thanks! The light was just gorgeous this morning. I shot this one too, but there is a small plant in front of the lens that looks like a splotch on his shirt. Oh well.

Looks amazing, you lucky girl!

DH got me the D7000 for xmas, but it's not available yet w/body only, so he's on a waiting list. I'm waiting patiently, but it is still going to be at least a month.
