Concept Shoot -- something different!

Postby blue-eden » Sat Feb 26, 2011 5:24 am

I had a great shoot last weekend, it was really fun!

Model came with some concept ideas (ie. costumes, themes, story lines, specific poses not necessarily portraiture) so I let her run a bit wild while I did some practice on composition.

I have to admit, I didn't "get" some of her concepts  You'll see....
Lifted off Photobucket, so not as sharp or high quality as the originals.

She just got new Doc Martens and wanted to show them off.
I have several in each of these locations, different poses and expressions and processing.

Classic processing. I really dislike the pose, but it was one she REALLY wanted.

Clean.

Vintage.

Ok, totally didn't get this "storyline". I think she saw it in a movie?? Puritan theme, austere woman, etc.

Image

I love eyelash shots.

Image

My posing. Victorian vintage.

Image

Top hat for an "androgyny" theme we didn't get to. I need to warm up the camera right eye, somehow the adjustment got masked off.

Image

Spur of the moment. We got rained out for a while, you can see the clouds over the mountains behind her.

I have so much more from this shoot, about 160 images in all. I've been blogging some slowly.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful pics. I love the one of her looking in the mirror!

What do you mean by classic processing?

Blue you've got some really pretty shots. I don't get the story line either. She reminds me of one of the models you had about a year ago.

Thank you!

Same model, she just got weirder (in a good way!) . She runs her own blog, mostly images from movies, magazines, etc she likes so I think she was posing to have images of herself in the style of the kind she likes?

Laura, classic is with clean processing, just the colours are a bit deeper than in real life and the midtones are richer. Colours are saturated, but the skin remains true to life.
