Branding and marketing materials

Postby photofashionista » Sat Jul 09, 2011 7:09 pm

Have you all made your own marketing materials and logo or did you purchase a kit or hire a graphic designer?

I want to make my own because I'm a DIY kind of girl but truthfully I don't have much experience making templates in PS. I can't be that hard to make something simple with digital papers for backgrounds, right? If you know of any good tutorials please feel free to share.

I just recently had someone do one up for me. It was cheap and I love it! You can view it on my blog.

Your blog looks great! I just found someone on etsy yesterday that's super affordable. The logos are premade but she'll let me change colors and doesn't resell them - all for only $30. YAY! It's hard starting a legit business on basically no budget. LoL. She'll also do matching marketing materials that match for very affordable prices. Now for a website....guess I'll use a company that has a website builder and charges a small monthly fee.

I'm trying to get into a photoshop class at the local community college this fall so I can hopefully learn to make these things myself.

Ok ladies, I just used that wonderful designer on Etsy and thought I'd share her info in case anyone else is interested. She's super fast and great to work with. She let me change the colors and the placement, AND it won't be resold in any fashion, for only $30!

Here is my new logo and first attempt at textures. :)
