I am really digging that first wood "barn" picture you have there! I think it's really nice and the B&W conversion is great. I can't really see the second pic you put up. It looks like it may just be an outline or a baby? I'm not a huge fan of pics like that, but that is just a personal thing! The first picture of you daughter in the slide show is also really nice!

Thanks! I have actually had a person want to buy that pic of the barn! I am headed out tomorrow to do some more hopefully :)

ITA. I have never like the "pencil pictures" but the barn pic is great.

taking pics of barns is how my grandfather taught me to shoot with b&w! with film, lol. that's a great way to study contrast and exposure. i'd say get as creative with the baby shots and you'll be well on your way!

and i just saw where you live...i learned with barns in sugar grove va...near marion! LOL. I'm also in the Blue Ridge.

Awesome! These barns are in Austinville area at the shot tower :) I will have to drive up Marion sometime and on RT. 11 there are some places I think.
