Christmas lights

Postby annabugsmommy » Mon Dec 15, 2008 9:54 am

Figured I'd help the boards not be so "dead." Thought this was a cool pic of Christmas lights I took last night on some bushes. LOVE the bokeh effect my 17-55 mm lens gets.

So cool how the photo is broken down into colorful concentric circles. Very neat effect!

Amy, that pic makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and Christmas like :) Beautiful!

Chelsy, turn your flash off and set lens to manual focus. Meter correctly, blur, and snap away!

Just adding my Christmas bokeh to the mix. DH said he wishes he was still in a band so he could use them for album art. :)

Dee-Thank you for the 'how to'. I will try it tonight. Day 5 with an SLR I havent turned it on manual yet, but maybe this would be a good way to learn since you cant really mess up.

My tree has all white lights. Now I wish it had colored lights. This was a fun project, though.
