Stared Ben on Babyfood , all of a sudden he was super interested in our Food and watching us while eating . He really likes his good night porridge( not really porridge but can't think of a better word for it ) and now I have to make sure that I only eat yoghurt when he can't see me , he get upset because I don't give him any LOL

When I got do do stuff like cleaning or laundry and Ben is awake , I feel guilty that I can't give him my whole attention , even when he is in his bouncy talking to his teddys , never mind sitting down and just doing nothing for 5 min . New Mommy guilt ?

the guilt gets worse when you add more kids! I feel guilty every singly day for not paying enough attention to Peter because I have a 2-year old that needs a lot of my attention too ... I'm running back and forth between the two of them. On one hand I want Peter to stay little so I can enjoy my last baby as long as I can but on the other hand I can't wait for the two of them to be able to play together!

Hi Mommas! So I really need to take a rainy afternoon and read up on all the old posts in order to catch up- yall have been busy!

????????????regarding sleep for any takers- Jordan has been STTN since 10 weeks (yes, I know, it's insane- but maybe its to make up for DS not STTN until he was 18 months old!), but her bedtime, 10 pm, is KILLING me! What time do your LOs go down for the night- even if not STTN? Id rather her go down at 7 pm and wake at midnight to nurse and wake at her usual time of 5am than this 10pm-5am crap. Thoughts?

let's see ... Peter goes to sleep around 8-9:00pm ... wakes up around 11is pm for first nighttime feeding ... and then he's up at 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, 6am ... he basically constantly nurses while I'm trying to sleep sitting up with him glued to me. I try between every feeding to put him back down to his swing or rocker but he's up in like 5 minutes and latches on again and feeds while he's asleep while I'm watching the time pass by or I'm dozing off like that. Then he usually falls asleep in the swing around 7am and sleeps till 9am or so.

... so, 10pm bed time with sleeping through the night ... sounds good to me :) ... but then I think I'd actually miss all the snuggle time we get at night. I just wish I could nurse while laying down instead of having to sit up with two pillows behind me back.

awww MK that sounds terrible you poor thing. You must be exhausted! I couldnt imagine every hour like that. Livv would get up every 2 hours for the first 2 months and then started to go 3-4 and now she goes to bed around 9- 10 pm and sleeps till like between 3am - 5ish.. and eats and goes right back to bed for another 2-3 hours and then she wants to stay up and play after that which is fine cause im up anyways with getting kids off to school starting at 6:30. yuck....
rule- thats our schedule so i dont know? I guess you could shoot for an earlier bedtime and see what happens. good luck!

Shalana, it is definitely exhausting! I'm sure he'd sleep a lot better if he wasn't so gassy during the night. It's the gas pain that keeps waking him up. We tried just about everything out there ... gripe water, gas drops, me changing my diet and eliminating everything that could cause gas and allergies, giving him hypo-allergenic formula ... and it still doesn't help. I guess he's just one of those babies that need to outgrow it. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have a toddler to run after all day long. I find myself to be most tired around 10:00-11:00am. But I think I've gotten used to it by now. There were days though couple week ago when I couldn't wait for DS1's bedtime. And having my husband on the road all the time sure doesn't help things much BUT this is what I signed up for so I shouldn't complain, right? :D

Looks like I'll be taking a trip to Europe in two months to visit my family ... having been there in over 6 years. My mom came both time when our boys were born but other than her, I haven't seen anyone since my last trip long long time ago! But it will sure be interesting ... me alone flying with a 2 year old and 7 month old! I was hoping I could take a non-stop flight but they are canceling the non-stop planes to where I'll be flying to so we might have to do a stop-over ... what a major PITA! I'm not as much worried about the added stop as about the airlines losing our storller / car seats somewhere between the destinations. But hopefully it will all work out! I'm pretty excited about going over there ... just hoping it won't be a total nightmare

had to post this one ... I got a "runaway baby"! ... he can't roll yet or anything like that but discovered "backscooting" today!

... started with his legs on the banana and head on the monkey ... if it wasn't for his bigger brother saying o-oh o-oh all the time to get my attention, he'd be bouncing his head off of the balcony door!

hi girls!

sorry its been so long since I have posted. Things have been busy and school/activities haven't even started yet.

Our schedule is cereal around 5-6ish, then he sometimes nurses around 6:30. Then around 8pm he has a bath and then at about 8:30pm has a bottle (drinks anywhere from 4-6oz). Then he goes to bed and sleeps until 3-5am and then get up for the day at 7am. I was giving him a bottle and pumping but the last month I have just been bringning him to bed to nurse and then back to his bed when he is done. I pump around 10pm b4 I go to bed.

MK-I can't imagine getting up that many times...I would be a zombie. Cute pic...Easton has scooted backwards too...sooo funny.

MK : Poor You , I don't think I could function at all on a schedule like that , never mind taking care of a toddler too . Where in Europe is your Family ?
Such a cute Pic of your Runaway Baby :D he got sooo big

Ben has a bath and then his Babycereal between 7-8pm and then sleeps till 5-6am , has a bottle and goes down again for a hour or so .During the night he might wake up but goes to sleep again after I give him his dummy . Tried to push his bedtime back a little but he just gets up earlier then , he is quite happy with his routine and hates it when it gets disturbed .
He does that scooting on his bum too but only in a big circle .

Today he rolled from his back to his front for the first time , just wish I had a videocamera at that time , Super proud Mama :D

d1ehexe, that's great that Ben can now roll over!

I have to say I do feel like a Zombie sometimes! lol But for the most part, I've somewhat gotten used to not getting much sleep so it's not as bad now. I just keep telling myself that it will get better eventually.

"Europe" being Czech Republic where I'm from originally. There's no direct flights from Chicago to Prague (which would still be another 4hr drive anyways), so I was planning on flying to Krakow in Poland because Polish Lot airlines have had a direct flight from Chicago to Krakow (which is only about 1.5hr drive from where my family is) for years now but apparently they are getting rid of the direct flights and I will have to have a stop-over in Warsaw ... what a major PITA with to little ones!

Thanks for all the feedback, ladies! We have successfully transitioned Jordan's bedtime to 730-8ish (later than I'd like, but waaaaaaay better than 1030 pm) but we've had a distastrous side effect. What started as a single wake up at 3am to nurse, and up for the day at 7am has morphed into multiple wake ups and a zombie Momma :P I'm such a sucker, I actually nursed her every time she woke up the first night and now my baby that could go 8 hours straight sleeping has convinced me she's starving every 2 hours LOL

oh, so sorry! Sounds like it kinda backfired on you :(

Peter has been sleeping "a little" better the last two nights ... meaning not waking up every hour but only every two hours or so ... still not much fun but a welcome change!

Yea Olivia still gets up once to eat. she doesnt usually sleep thru unless she stays up really late like till 11 pm and eats again. she is deff not like my son at all. He slept thru the night at 6 wks old and was sleeping like 10 hours straight without eating or waking up.. it was awesome.. ahhh the good times! hahaha.. oh well maybe our little munchkins will start STTN soon.. hopefully..

Hi Ladies :D
Sydnee doesn't sleep through the night either, usually wakes up to eat 1-2 times and doesn't go to sleep until usually after 11pm. She has just started sleeping on her side this past week. She gets fussy trying to get to her side to sleep. Does anyone elses child gag themselves? Sydnee always has her hands in her mouth and is always sticking her fingers to far back and makes herself gag all the time.

Hi Jess! :D Sydnee is so cute in those pics i love the purple! That's my Fav color too.. haha.. I had to comment and say yea Olivia does the gagging thing too. She also rolls over both ways and we found her on her tummy face down in her crib one night. OMG. i freaked out.. so back out the blanket rolls came and she has that on each side to keep her from rolling. she has to be oin her side to sleep though she hates her back. which im the same way so she probably gets that from me.. How are you hun?? I havent heard from you in a long time. have a good night. Im so busy ive been canning Jam and Salsa and beans from the garden and then i also have a 3 day camping trip coming up this weekend "baby free" yippeee for mommy breaks! lol... im excited to spend time with my friends and family and have a good time. Have a great labor day weekend everyone!!
