Well my breatsfeeding days are over :( , for the last few weeks Ben screamed his head off after feeds and I suspected that he didn't gain enough weight . Yesterday I went to have him weight and he is in the low weight gain curve , nothing serious yet but my Health Vistitor said that my milk doesn't fill him up enough ( that would explain the screaming and the long feeds ) .
That and my milk supply went down a hell of a lot the last week , made me switch to formula and Ben is a diffrent child , no more screaming and he is actually having naps again :D

I just can't believe that our Board will be gone soon , the time just flew by so quickly .

We are pretty sure he's allergic to dairy (just like me older one) ... so I'm staying completely off dairy and he's on hypoallergenic formula. But we are also suspecting allergy to corn/corn syrup because he has trouble digesting even the formulas that are made for kids with allergies. The only one that he's semi-ok with is the only out there that does NOT have any corn in it ... so pretty much a diagnosis by elimination since they can't test babies this little. I am on a very limited corn consumption diet as well and he seems to be doing fine on breast milk but since my supply is low and I have to supplement every day, that's where we have problems. But at least I don't need to give him full bottles of formula (like 4 or 6 oz) but just 2oz or a bit more at a time throughout the day just to really supplement in addition to the breast milk he gets. I guess my "capacity" is maxed out at about 3.5-4oz every 3-5hrs and he just wants and needs more.

Began with the return of Connie and some not nice things being said to her and then the whole board erupted when Loanchick was appointed a moderator. Crazy stuff. I totally stay out of it - but it made for some funny reading.

oh! what a cute picture! ... it's the milk-drunk face my little guy sometimes does when he's just fallen asleep.

Vari8ty : She is gorgeous , Ben is already filling out a little , I think .
Just stinks that when u want to BF and your Body is working against u .

MK13 : I'm lactose intolerant (and a few other things ) and because I didn't have it from birth ,Ben is probably not gonna get it . It is really hard because Milk is in so many things I never even thought of and the cornsirup as well . Can u shop in supermarkets or go to health Food stores for him ? The hardest for me was giving up Ice cream and chocolat , I tried the soy chocolat but it was not very nice .

OMG I canot believe Connie is back , I was in the Buddy group where she was in and her " other Persona " , creepy !!!!!

Just popping in to say hi! :) MK, I've used CDs with Ava since she was 4 weeks and with Chaiya since she was born. We're still in cloth going strong. I've tried introducing the potty to Ava this week. She went once but IDK if she fully understood lol. We aren't pushing it atm though.

I'll be back later. We are moving this weekend so i may be without internet (other than my phone) for a few days.

Hi! you are welcome to join us. We all had our babies in April and were part of the April due date club, which will be closing for us soon. So here is for April mommies.

Are you breast feeding or formula? Cloth diapers or sposies? hehehe, I am full of questions.

How is your little one? boy or girl?

Well I know that I have not been on at all since my son was born. Jacobi was born on April 29th and I was successful in my VBAC. It was pretty uneventful except for being a good practice pusher and having to breath through contractions so that the dr could make it in! One push when she came and he was out. Jacobi is night and day different from Xavier, who is 18 months old. Jacobi weighed 9.3 pounds and was 22 and 1/2 inches long. He is now 2 months old and weighs 16.7 pounds! So he is a big boy! Xavier is only 23 pounds so I fully expect Jacobi to pass him up anytime!

Jacobi is a really good boy! Tried BFing and made it about 1 month until we noticed that he was SO GASSY and fussy so I switched to a gentle formula and he does so much better now. We are co sleeping, but I would love to get him into his bed and his room soon. I just worry about him waking my other son...any ideas from anyone on how to prevent this from happening?

I will have to post some pics later since I dont have access to photobucket here at work! Hope all you ladies are doing well!! It was a pleasure going through my pregnancy with all of you!!!

Cass, I think it was actually you earlier in the winter posting something about CD and the CD board that got me thinking about checking it out to see if it would help with Nick's eczema that he was having on his lower back (he'd scratch it so bad he had blood all over). And then we went from CD just for naps to CD Nick full time and little PJ during daytime for now as I still haven't figured out what to do with him at night. But yeah, I'm a "convert" thanks to you :)

So, we had our GI check up today and not much is new. Since Peter's gaining weight well and all, they are pretty much letting him outgrow his issues, unless things get worse. We have another follow up in 3 months. They did up his Zantac dosage, which should make a big difference. He was on .25ml and they increased it to 1ml ... so 4 times the amount. I guess he was on too low of a dosage to begin with and as he got bigger it got even less efficient. So, hoping to see some more improvements!
