I'm just worried about how I'll pick her up when the belly comes along! We haven't put her in a toddler bed yet because we definitely don't trust her haha

I would carry Lily on my hip, if I had too. Otherwise she had to walk or have dh carry her. We would always cosleep. Be prepared if by the time baby comes, you have to repotty train or take some steps back. Lily was fully potty trained at 2.5 when Zari was born except at night, but started having accidents and needed a diaper for the first couple weeks Zari was home.

I am paying for those hot wings now with heartburn. I need to find my tums.

Any advice on getting sleep those first few months? I expect it'll be harder now that I can't just nap when the baby naps.

Haha no. Just try and make them both nap at the same time. I was a zombie the first few weeks and expect to be again. Both of mine will start school one month after baby is born. So no sleeping in then at all.

Idk how close you have any family, but both of our parents live with in a mile of us. If I REALLY need help I will ask, but I like doing things myself.

Mines almost 2 hours away! I think my mom would come stay if I need her to. Which I'm sure at some point I will! But I hate that help is so far away.

Maybe she should stay the first week or so you have the baby, just to help with your daughter. Im sure if i need to, dd's can have a couple sleepovers at either grandparents house. Im pretty sure lily will help me with zari. She is pretty capable and is able to pour herself cereal and get herself dressed.
Im a little nervous about after because we live upstairs and that is going to be so not fun if i wind up getting a bunch of stitches. Dh was saying i should stay at is parents the first week since their house is all ground level.

Yeah the stitches aren't fun! I live in a single story house so luckily I've never dealt with stairs. That doesn't sound ideal at all!

With lily i tore really bad. She came out with 3 pushed and her elbow was up by her head. So yeah my sis was there and said she had no idea how many stitches i got. It took a while to recover. With zari i tore a little and got a few stitches, so recovery was a lot better. That numbing spray and which hazel pads were my bff! Lol

They had to cut me. I had stitches from back to front. They gave me a low dosage of Norco though so I wasn't too miserable. I took as little of it as possible though, I hate taking medication of any type. I have to have a migraine for 3 days before I take a Tylenol!

She started cutting with lily but i just ripped more. With zari just a natural small tear. Did you have a natural birth then?

I had an epidural but due to a previous back injury and scar tissue, the injection site was higher than normal so I didn't feel my contractions but I felt the delivery. Then once she was out, my doctor tried pulling out the placenta and it broke so she had to go in and remove it. That was the worst part but as far as I know it's not something that happens often. We learned in our birthing class that you deliver the placenta a few minutes after the baby so I don't know why she pulled on it.. hoping it she doesn't do it again!

That's crazy! I just remembered them kinda massaging my stomach and the placenta falling into like a bucket or something. I don't really remember much of what was going on right after birth, I was too busy focusing on the new baby! I had an epidural both times, but with Zari, I was already 7 cm by the time we got to the hospital. I was "mooing" as I call it. It hurt really bad, but I am sure I made it that far, I could have gone the rest of the way. I am kinda considering going natural this time, but the pushing part really scares me. As I have torn badly before, I am scared that it could happen again and with out an epidural would be awful. With my epidural, I only felt pressure, but no pain while pushing.

It didn't hurt when she cut me, it was actually a relief. Keep in mind I'd been pushing for 50 minutes.
Trust me all I wanted was to hold the baby but they were getting her all cleaned up while this was going on. If I got to hold the baby during it I wouldn't have even cared ha!
But being dug into and stitched up while my baby was across the room was absolute torture!
