My mom called me today about Thanksgiving and I almost told her. She is a worrier and kind of dramatic, and she knew about mc last month, so I kind of want to wait to tell her. I was thinking about when I get the u/s pic to make an ornament for her tree with a copy of it and then just put it up and see if she notices.

I love that idea! I think making something holiday specific helps to keep that secret a little longer. I'm kind of dying to tell everyone now, but knowing those cards are on the way, I am going to keep my mouth shut!

Random question: do your nails grow faster during pregnancy? I have crappy, brittle nails, and always have. I know your hair grows faster and thicker during pregnancy and that the health of hair and nails are related. If it's not that, I think the iron is working it's magic because my nails are growing like crazy!

These studies are making me feel so much better! I still haven't missed my period yet. I'm slightly paranoid about that. It's due 22 or 23rd. So I've got a couple more days until I can feel WAY better. I'll just try to keep my mind off of it, I'm sure it won't come.

I love that card that you ordered Becca, it made me almost weepy when I read it so I had to vote that one lol yeah pregnancy does wonderful things to the nails!
And that's an awesome idea Jessica to hang the ornament! My SIL gifted the family snowflake ornaments last year that said "our little snowflake will fall august 3, 2014" that was her announcement. It was a really cute idea!!

Oh, I love the little snowflake ornament idea! I am still having a hard time believing we actually made it- we got pregnant in time to announce it at Christmas! When last cycle failed, for some reason I thought that was it for my Christmas hopes and I think that's part of why I was so disappointed. I haven't been able to see most of my family since my wedding in August 2013, so it's so cool to be able to make a pregnancy announcement when we are all together!

Becca & Jessica - such cute ideas!

Since I WILL be getting pregnant next month, we should know before Christmas. DH and I were thinking of visiting my in-laws for Christmas. Well spend Xmas eve at my dad's and then drive down to California to make it to their place in time for Xmas dinner. Sounds a bit crazy but I've already got the time off work and my SIL us due to have her baby on the 16th. We're dying to see the new baby. Since we WILL be pregnant ;), I think I'd be awesome to do something around then. I should know around the 20th.

I love all of your Christmas reveal ideas! I had really been hoping to do the same, but I know we can't keep the secret from DH's family since we'll be staying with them wed-sun over thanksgiving. I'm kind of jealous but I know they'd figure it out!

Today AF is officially 1 week late for me! It is such a relief for sure once she's late.

And Maureen! So glad to have you posting here. Fx for this cycle for sure!!

I'm thinking I might have implanted as early as 5dpo. I had a nice dip that day, and hcg was high enough for a bfp by 9dpo! It makes me wonder if O was actually a day earlier than I originally thought.

Maureen, what state are you in? (No reason I need to know, just curious how much of the west coast we have covered lol. Also, I like your resolve- you WILL be getting that bfp!

I totally missed AF being due... it totally slipped my mind and I realized it after the fact. I'm kind of glad it happened that way so I wasn't stressing out about it!

I thought you might be in Oregon. DH grew up in Vancouver, and that's where we'll be for Thanksgiving. Maybe one day when we both have babies, we can meet up for a play date. :)

My cramps aren't as bad anymore. AF would be due either tomorrow or day after. I always spot the day before so if no spotting, no worries! So far so good! I won't be back home until tomorrow evening. Then I'll look and see how dark my tests are. I'm not extremely worried.

I love the Christmas reveal idea too but I tell my mom everything and this is pure torture even waiting a week haha. I would just tell her but she can't keep secrets. She would tell everyone before I got the chance and I really don't want that to happen.

I'm so excited about it I've been dreaming about it every night. Last night I dreamt that no one cared and I started crying haha. It's pretty far fetched since my family is generally over involved and I know my mom and my sister will be bawling. Only 6 more days! :)

Kathy - aww they'll be so thrilled. :) I can't imagine waiting will be harder than the tww

Becca - Is it possible the Oregon duck shirt my DH is wearing in the pic gave that away? ;) Let's plan on it!! I would love that. I did the Whidbey Island half marathon last year and on our way, we passed the tulip fields in full bloom. Wow.
