Warning! Food post!!

I just had the left over chinese rice and I put sweet and sour sauce on it and mild taco sauce..I also had a chimichanga, that's what gave me the idea. It was awesome!!! Weird but wonderful! I haven't had an appetite today but that sounded good ha

I love the warning kathy! I have been craving a lot of spicy food, I wonder what that's all about. Did you get ms last time?

I didn't get ms just tons of headaches. I don't expect ms to find me but you never know! The headaches I'm sure will catch up eventually. I carry tension in my neck and shoulders so that'll be the culprit no doubt!
All in all, I'm feeling pretty good so far! How about you Jessica?

No i never really got ms, just feeling gross sometimes but bever more than that. Fx. I get migraines every now and then and got them all the time last 3rd tri. All I've really been feeling now is tired, peeing all the time, and cravings.

***food alert***
I HATE milk, but felt like i had to go buy some and drank two glasses last night! Super weird for me!

Haha thanks for the warning on the food post! And thanks, Jessica, for restarting the thread.

Kathy, did you take an iron supplement during your last pregnancy? I had to stop taking mine because I think it was adding to my nausea but so far my migraines have stayed away. Maybe that will help keep them under control this time?

I'm off to my first mini-appointment in about 15 minutes. It's just a nurse meeting to go over medical history and ask questions. The receptionist said I'll be able to get a prescription to help with the nausea, so I'm hoping they have some options for me.

I started taking vitamin B6 which actually does seem to help- a tiny bit. But, I'm pretty uncomfortable and nauseous most of the time still. I had my first day back at the groomer yesterday since getting sick, and it was rough. It's hard physical work, so I got worn out really fast with little fuel in my stomach. My boss was understanding, and sent me home early, but I really need to be working my regular hours to save up money.

Here's to hoping I get some good news today and they can help me feel better!

Oh, good news- I sent out a few of the announcement cards to my family. I felt like I really needed to talk to my sister about her pregnancies, so I wanted her to know. I talked to her yesterday (she said she screamed out loud when she saw the card and scared the crap out of her kids) and she said that she has had moderate morning sickness, but that it always went away around week 12. Hopefully I follow that trend!

Be sure to send us plenty of hpt photos!!

Becca yeah I was on iron because my tests were showing I was really low. It was a one a day pill. Brown bottle, can't remember the brand! I stopped taking them after I had my daughter but I'm sure they'll tell me to get back on them.
My appetite is even more gone today than yesterday. I went from an enormous appetite to no appetite. I wonder the house looking for anything that sounds slightly appetizing.
So far I've had a couple little donuts and popcorn.
I'm making cherry almond scones, it sounded alright.
I wouldn't exactly call this morning sickness though!

And congrats on the announcement card send out!! Doesn't it feel so good to see how excited everyone gets?
I got my families reactions on video and I nearly cry every time I watch my mom and my sister tear up!

My appointment went well. They gave me a prescription for more zofran, since it has been helping me some. They said I can take up to 100 mg of vitamin B6 three times a day, which is 4x what I've been taking. That's promising, because it is slowly helping. I just ate a bagel. A WHOLE bagel with cream cheese. I haven't eaten more than about 5 bites of anything since last Friday. I'm hoping this big of a "meal" doesn't come back to bite me. Right now, though, I feel ok.

They gave me a sample of Diclegis (Doxylamine succinate and Pyridoxine hydrochloride). I'm going to start it tonight at bed time. I'm afraid to stop taking the zofran, because it does help, but I'm hoping this is an even better solution. It's specifically designed to treat morning sickness, not other causes of nausea, and is a time release pill so it is only taken once or twice a day depending on the severity of symptoms.

Happy O, Maureen! I kind of miss the excitement and suspense of the TWW- is that weird? Maybe it's because so far my pregnancy hasn't been all that fun lol. Anyway, I'm really excited for you to test. I'll be here, photo-editor at the ready, to squint with you!

Kathy, yes, it was exciting when my sister called, but NOBODY else has responded, so I don't know if they got them, or if they just didn't open them. I'll give it a couple of days before I check with my brothers and my parents. My dad is notorious for not opening mail unless it looks important. Every time I go visit them there is stack of mail that I open (usually "thinking of you" type cards from my mom's friends) that has just been sitting on his desk. I'll call him in a couple of days and tell him to read it and call me back.

I'm sure we'll get a good reaction from the in-laws. My MIL has been waiting for this since our wedding day. I'm honestly shocked she didn't say anything about it when we saw them at Thanksgiving!

Anyhoo... nap time is calling my name. I had a long day at work and that bagel is starting to feel mighty heavy in my tummy. :/

That's nice you get to try a sample of the other med. Fx that one works even better since it's specific to ms. Wow a whole bagel. lol. Glad you got to keep something down.

I forgot to mention that I started gagging now when I brush my teeth. Anyone else? That happened to me with the girls too.

Yes, I gag when I brush my teeth, or more if I brush my tongue really. But, I also gag any time I put anything in my mouth, so...

Hi everyone! Sorry to be away a few days! Visiting the in laws was exhausting lol!
The reveal there was okay, they were excited, but not as much as my family! We were going to surprise the BiL still by mailing the onesie, but my FiL spilled the beans  Guess we'll just give it to them at Christmas!

So sorry to hear about all the ms, Becca! I've had waves of some ugly nausea, usually when I let myself get too hungry. Which is easy, since most foods sound terrible to me! Even the thought of pretzels has my stomach turning. At least there has not been any puking yet!

I've got my appointment next Wed. I talked to my dr about what to expect, and sounds like it will not be very exciting. It will be too soon to hear the heartbeat, and I guess they only do an ultrasound at 20 weeks! How will I be able to wait that long to see a pic of this little one??

I had some really scary cramping on Monday. It woke me up in the middle of the night, the pain was so bad. I was covered in a layer of sweat, and thought I was going to throw up. After going to the bathroom and taking some Tylenol, the pain eased enough I could fall back asleep. I talked to the dr in the morning, and she sounded a bit concerned but since there wasn't any spotting, that was really good news. I've been a bit backed up, so here's hoping it was just some constipation lol!

So exited for your O Maureen! Catch that egg!!

Yikes! Cramping is scary!! I remember telling my dr last pregnancy that I was cramping a lot. She told me to drink more water. So even now whenever I start getting cramps I drink water and they stop. I wonder if you got over heated and the body heat and dehydration caused by sweating made you have the bad cramps! Glad there was no bleeding of any sort!
