I'd skip if I didn't miss the past 4 meetings haha! Plus they just asked me to be head of the literature board so if I don't go it might look bad. I went to a light show at the arboretum tonight and went like 7 hours without eating anything. It's the longest I've gone without eating in a long time and it actually brought my appetite back! It could also be from walking around for a few hours. I heard light exercise can cure nausea. I got full after half of my meal but it was nice not forcing it down.

Sticky baby dust to you Maureen with O coming soon!!

Eek! 7 hours without eating would make me SO sick!

I'm really struggling today, trying to figure out if I can make my trip tomorrow. My friend used ALL her air miles to pay for my trip and she will lose them if I cancel. I also paid about $200 to cover taxes and extra fees for the flights.

Part of me thinks I'm worrying over nothing and I'll be sick wherever I am so I might as well go. But the other part of me is really worried that's it's just not a good idea to put myself on a 5+ hour flight. (Plus if I'm home, I can be working at least a little bit and I can make that money back.) I just don't know what to do. When it comes down to it, I'd really rather not go, but the guilt about the air miles and the money we already spent is making me think I should just do it.

I also found out recently that there was a misunderstanding about timing and she won't be able to pick me up from the airport, so she hired me a car. She also has to work 3 days while I'm there so I'll just be hanging out at her house instead of mine. It just seems like it's not working out but I can't shake that guilt about cancelling. What should I do?!

In other news, I had another baby dream. This time I found out it was twins- a boy and a girl. Part of me wishes it comes true so I get 2 for the price of 1 with this morning sickness crap lol.

That's a difficult situation becca. In the end you have to do what you feel is best for you. I'd probably just go. You might just end up having fun. But its up to you. What does your dh have to say about it?

He's kind of neutral, but leaning towards having me go. That's mostly due to the fact that we spent money on the trip already that we won't get back. I also don't really think he fully understands how bad the morning sickness is, though. He only sees me at night once it has gotten a little better and I'm able to eat a little. The rest of the day is pretty miserable.

Have you told your friend how sick you have been? If she understands and insists you stay home that may help with your guilt!

I have talked to her about it. She is understanding, but still really hopeful that I'll make it. If she was just inviting me now, I'd say no way can I make that work, but since we planned it months ago I feel like I can't back out now.

The flights span the worst hours of the day for me, when I am typically dry heaving and heading to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. I got a window seat, and I just keep imagining myself climbing over people on my frequent potty breaks and trying not to throw up on them...

Going through all of that just to be down there, go to a concert, and then hang out by myself (or with her mom who I don't know) while she's at work just seems like it's not worth putting myself through. :/

That's rough. There's no way to reschedule the flight for a few weeks later and not lose the miles? Lots of people throw up on planes, that's probably not to bad for other people, just uncomfortable for you. It really sounds like you don't want to go, so then maybe you shouldn't. But then you might get a case of the what ifs.

I've been receiving weekly emails and 1 of them actually said at 7 weeks if this is your second (or more) pregnancy it's possible to begin showing now as everything is already stretched out.
I've gained weight and am bloated but I'm hoping my uterus is partially to blame. I know it's still very low but I'll take it.

Maybe I am then. I am using the hair tie trick and can't get my zipper to zip any more. I have a couple belly bands and have been using those to cover that up. Or really long shirts. I knew that I could show earlier, but didn't realize it could begin this early! With Lily I was still wearing regular clothes when I was almost 5 months. With Zari I had to switch the beginning of the 2nd tri. Who knows this time. I guess we will have to see!

I can still button my pants but it's uncomfortable so I usually don't! I wear workout clothes at home and casual places. I'm starting to hate pants haha

Haha I wear stretchy yoga pants whenever I can, but I have always preferred them over jeans. I have lost about 4 lbs in the last month, so I can still button my jeans, but I feel squishy so it's more comfortable to have the rubber band on there.

I'm excited to start seeing everyone's ultrasounds! I'm a little jealous since I have to wait until January, but excited none the less.

I cancelled my trip and I feel so relieved. It just made more sense to stay home. My friend was very understanding and said that she actually felt like it was probably a better idea for me to stay home. She looked into the air miles and found out she can change the dates of travel through next October, or pay a $150 fee and have them returned to her, which she says she doesn't mind doing. If I can make a trip out there in February or early March, I may do it.

I didn't realize how much that worry was stressing me out, but I feel so good now knowing I don't have to worry about it!

oh yay becca! What a relief! I can't wait to see all of our little beans!

kathy, I am hating pants too.

I only wear jeans for pants. Yoga pants or basketball shorts for working out only. I do have some maternity leggings and one jean that I will probably be breaking out in the next few weeks maybe.

Glad to hear you'll be able to reschedule the trip Becca!

I wear jeans every day to work, some days I need the hair tie trick more than others lol. No matter what though, as soon as I'm home the jeans are immediately swapped for pjs! I'm super sleepy today, I had been having a little more energy lately.

Can't wait for my appointment Wednesday! Are your hubbies going with you? I know I won't have an ultrasound this visit and won't be able to hear the heartbeat yet, so I'm thinking maybe he should save the time away from work for a more exciting appointment. At the same time I kind of want him there!
