It's hard to tell. Dh's parents have 8 boys and one girl. But They have 9 granddaughters and only 5 grandsons so far. I love that you had your dogs choose.

I finally got to show my husband all of the ultrasound pics, there's 4 in total that were given to me. He says, "looks like a boy". Ha! Who knows?
I really can't believe first trimester is almost over! We're just about a third of the way there! 8O

What are you girls counting as the 2nd tri? Some things say week 13 and others say starting week 14. Which is it? Lol.

I felt sick last night but other than that I've felt good for the past few days! I think my nausea is heading out the door! Hurray for the approach of 2nd tri! I remember day dreaming about this like 5 weeks ago and it's so close! The only thing that would make this better is if the weather would rise out of the negatives. Spring time is going to be awesome!

We get 100 degree days too unfortunately, usually in July and August. Maybe since the year is starting so cold it'll be a bit cooler summer though! If not, at least the babies are coming in July so the majority of the pregnancy will be spring! That's when it'll be in the 60s and 70s here. Perfect temperature but we also get a lot of storms and tornados over here. Seriously, why do I live here? Ha! There's nothing even nice to look at. Cornfields!
On clear days can see the Sears ("Willis") tower and other sky scrapers but I'd prefer mountains or ocean any day.

Here it can some years be 100 and in 90s in april. Definitely 80s at a minimum by may. In 2008 when lily was born, was one of the hottest mays I can remember. The bonus of a summer baby, is all you really need clothes wise is a bunch of onsies and some sleepers!

My ticker says I'm in the second trimester now. It all depends who you ask.

I feel lucky to live where I do. Mild temps year round, so green, and surrounded by fresh and salt water beaches and snow capped mountains. I love it here! Last sumner we had a few weeks of 90-100 degree temps which is unusual. We will be investing in an air conditioner if it gets that hot again this year. With how humid it is being by the water, heat is miserable here!

My husbands cousin stayed with us for a bit this last summer and he's from Oregon, and he was beyond hot. I've never been over there, but I imagine it to be kinda like Washington.

Yesterday I went to the fabric store and picked out a cute neutral giraffe print flannel. I am going to make my own receiving blankets since I HATE those tiny 30x30 or 36x36 inch ones! I bought some large ones at target for zari and they were so much better, buy way more expensive. I bought a 1 1/4 yard and will cut the corners how I want and zigzag the edges, all for $4 after a 50% off coupon. I will keep doing that once I find out the gender. There are so many cute fabrics out!
