Well... Looks like some changes are in store for us. I've been thinking about quitting one of my jobs (long story, but I feel like I'm being penalized for being pregnant and not able to lift big dogs or work as quickly as I did before. My boss just cut my pay because of it). My husband came home today and said the bank shut down the dealership (where he works and where we live). Apparently his boss hasn't been paying his bills.

I know a common symptom around the end of the second trimester is a sense of calm. I think I'm experiencing that right now because I feel totally ok about the fact that the hubby is in need of a job and we are going to have to find a new place to live. I feel like I should be stressed out but I'm not. It seems like someone is trying tell us to move on... I'm actually excited to see what that means in the coming months.

That's the hope! There are jobs available with my brother in law's company that would allow me to stay home, we could buy a house, etc, but they are all in West Virginia which would be a huge adjustment for us. I'm hoping we find something closer to home. Was I not just saying I love living here?! I don't want to leave, but if the price is right... the chance to be able to stay home with the baby is a huge draw.

Call me crazy, but I think I felt the baby today... I was sitting in kind of an odd position on the couch and felt a definite bubbly rumble. It didn't feel like gas or digestion exactly. It's hard to say what it was for sure, but it's the first thing I've felt that made me wonder! I felt a similar feeling on my drive home a couple of hours later.

In other news, my memory is terrible lately! The timer just went off for dinner and I went to the kitchen only to discover I never put it in the oven!

I think I can feel the baby sometimes but I could just be crazy haha. They say in 2nd pregnancy u feel it a month sooner tho so idk. I felt Jadyn move much later on, like after she was over 8 inches long. (I had no idea what baby movement felt like then either so could've really felt her longer and had no idea). I'm pacing the kitchen right now because my back is killing me. I was just crying my eyes out and my husband barely looked at me. I hate my back! This is going to be a long 6 months!

It totally could be becca! That's so crazy, cause today I took a nap curled up on the sofa and thought I felt some tapping, but wasn't sure. Now I am thinking maybe I did! I hope we start feeling something regularly!

Aww kathy, i hope your back feels better and doesn't give you too many problems!

I think that was my biggest surprise when I very first saw my baby on the ultrasound monitor- how can something 5.3 cm be moving around THAT MUCH and I can't even feel it?! I know the inside of the uterus has very little nerve activity, but that baby was flipping and rolling all over! I still don't know if that's what I felt, but it got me excited. :)

And sorry to hear about your back Kathy. :(
We have a handheld massager that helps with mine, but I haven't had to deal with bad back pain in quite a few years. I hope you find something that provides some relief!

I felt Zari move for sure at 13 weeks, so I guess almost 12 isn't too far off from that. At 10 weeks I felt something, but wasn't sure if that's what it was or not. It happened again when I was curled up on the sofa.
Early movements definitely feel like little taps or bubbles. This is starting to get exciting! I love this time coming up!

I'm only 2 days away from 13 weeks... Zari is your second, though, right?

Yes, she is number 2. With Lily I was almost like 18 weeks before I felt her first taps. It also depends on how in tune you are with your body and your positioning.

I'd say I'm cautiously omptimistic that whtat I felt was the baby. From everything I've heard, this is really early to be feeling much. I was sitting in an odd, scrunched, sideways position when I felt that rumble on the couch. It was just an odd feeling that I couldn't really place. Needless to say, I'll be paying extra attention from now on hoping it happens again sooner rather than later!

It'll probably be sporadic when to we feel baby now, but soon enough it will be keeping us up with kicks to the ribs!

I think my back pain is due to my uterus being tilted backwards. My OB told me it was at week 8 but not much now info. I read up on it last night and it should correct itself during pregnancy but it says usually by week 10 to 12. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow so something better happen fast!
Speaking of kicking in the ribs, Jadyn didn't flip until start of third trimester so I also got a lot of bladder kicks haha those weren't very fun. It's Cool feeling the hiccups though! That happened a lot.
I just woke up from dreaming all night long about trying to get to Las Vegas. My husband is the one who is Vegas crazy but apparently deep down I want to go back too haha. Weird.
