I hate that. Before I was afraid to speak up for myself, but now I am not. If they're doing something you don't feel is right, then say something! I had a couple horrible mean old nurses when I had Lily that bullied me into getting an epidural really early. Then they didn't want to check me when I said every time I have a contraction, it feels like I have to poop. She just told me to call her when it feels like that all the time. That was 9 pm. 10:30pm she comes in that they were going to put an internal monitor since they couldn't find her hb. When she took a look, Lily's head was coming out!!! She called the dr and by the time she got there it was already a but after 11. Lily was born at 11:10 pm after 3 pushes, but was scrunched in my birth canal, crowning for over 2 hrs!!! If they only would have listened to me.
With zari, I had a nice 30 something year old nurse and had a great experience.

Why though??? They're getting paid to be there. I get sometimes the hours stink but it's what you sign up for in the profession. If it was an easy job anyone would do it. It takes compassion to be a good caregiver.

Ugh. 11:30, hubby is sound asleep and I'm WIDE awake! I'm anxious for tomorrow, which I think is a big part of it, but also, my one dog who sleeps about 4 feet from my side of the bed, is producing some of THE WORST gas I have ever smelled. I brought in a can of febreze but I've had to spray it every 3 minutes for the last hour and the combination of those two smells is making me want to puke! Please, please let me just fall asleep!

I finally got to sleep, but didn't sleep soundly, so I had a lot of weird dreams, including a very graphic one I won't get into about losing the baby the morning of my anatomy scan. I know it was just a dream, but the images in my head won't go away and I woke up feeling really crappy because of it. I'm hoping as the day gets going it will fade out and I can let the excitement creep back in! Oh, and I woke up at 5 because of dog fart and it took another hour to get back to sleep!

I had pretty creepy and crappy dreams last night too. Your baby is just fine! Our dreams tend to play on our worst fears, totally normal. You've waited so long for today, don't feel let down!

Thanks Kathy, I'm already feeling a little better after opening the curtains to let the sun in (and feeling baby doing somersaults while I ate breakfast). I just wish I had been able to sleep in a while so I didn't have to wait so long! Why did I choose an afternoon appointment?!

My uterus was measured yesterday. It's just above my belly button now but he still just hangs out at the bottom. When I was pregnant with Jadyn I remember feeling her kicks everywhere about this time but he just stays super low. I think that's why I can't feel with my hand!

I just felt for my uterus and I feel it about a fingers width below my belly button. I guess my poking around there aggravated baby cause it's going buts in there. Lol. I only feel baby on the bottom too. I think my bladder is the hangout spot. Dh and I have both felt baby a few times now from the outside. Some of these kicks are starting to get really strong!

I was just thinking about this last night! The top of my uterus is just behind my belly button, but all the movement I feel is really low. I know baby is off my bladder and bowels because they started functioning normally again, but it still seems really low.

I did read that baby stays lower for longer in taller women.

That's interesting becca. I would think since we have more abdominal room, they'd be swimming around everywhere! Maybe they just have more room and aren't interested in moving upwards yet?
A few more hours left!

I don't know... they must have a little more room to play?
I went and ran a few errands, thinking it would pass the time sooner. Nope. Still HOURS away!

Ooh, question: since I don't have my paperwork anymore... I know I'm supposed to down a huge amount of water the hour before my ultrasound, but when should I cut myself off from peeing? Is an hour enough? 2 hours?
