Best age for sit n stand?

Postby armanda 8 » Mon Nov 10, 2008 6:14 am

My babies will be a newborn and 25 months...will my toddler be too young for this? I mean as far as sitting/standing still w/o being strapped in?

I am not sure but I did see a double stroller - I believe baby trend - that went from a double stroller to a sit and stand. Here is the link

There is that stroller and then there's a jogger with a toddler seat. If your older daughter never needs to nap in the stroller...and is out * about a fair amount, this may be a great option for you.

Toddler seats go on Valco & Baby jogger strollers...there are also several FOREIGN strollers that have toddler seats...
Gosh, there's buggy boards also...and even little seat-ish things (lamost looks like a bike attached to the stroller.

Sorry, I don't have TIME to post all of the links but let me know if you want more info...I will provide!

BTW: I HAAAATED allll of my sit & stands and would DEFINITELY opt for ANYthing other than a sit & stand *unless you think that would WORK well for your family of course!!!*
(my daughter was either a sitter or a walker...and so when she sat on the platform...the MEASLY platform, she wasn't all that comfortable and I felt GUILTY for not having a 'proper' seat for her).
That's ME though...and so take it all with a pound of SALT and do what's good for YOU!!

BTW #2: I had the joovy Ultralight Caboose...the Fisher-Price Stand & ride Duo and the Mia Moda Campagno...ALL got sold!

Check out the Sit & Stand Deluxe:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/18 ... v_XSMG1060

I have a 3 month & a 2 year old... we felt the same way... 2 years is still too young to not be securely strapped in a seat... this will allow us a double stroller, holds an infant car seat, has a seat for older DD and the seat can be removed so when she's a little older she can sit or stand and then when younger DD is not in the infant carrier she has a seat as well. It folds easily and is not huge... (we were lucky and got it on sale for $89 but I like it so much I'd pay full price for it)
