cancer for IVF babies

Postby nicann2012 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 4:37 am

anyone read about the latest research which suggests that IVF babies are more likely to get cancer?

http://www.medicaldaily.com/ivf-babies- ... ame-259253

what are your thoughts? there are some who think that those studies are inconclusive...im expecting twins after an IVF cycle.
i'd be lying if i didnt get a little panic attack when i read the article!

I had a IVF baby in May 11 and she is now fighting cancer. Have no idea if it has anything to do with the IVF.

Whoa. That's pretty crazy, and very interesting. There are other things they don't mention in the article, like all the extra tests and early ultrasounds that IVF babies are subjected to and all the added fear of loss and stress at the start of a high risk IVF pregnancy. I imagine it's terrifying! There are always proactive things to do, though. Probiotics, vitamin C, vitamin D, and a healthy diet to give those babies a strong start for their immune systems. You can take them as a pregnant and BFing mom; you can add them as drops in baby's bottle. After that you just can't worry but take each day as a gift. Hugs to you gals. May your much-longed-for babies thrive and may life be kind to you! :)
