That's exciting puppy mom! How many weeks left?

I feel the same way about the embryos. It's a weighty responsibility. I also feel overwhelmed just thinking about although this worked the 1st time for us, we could easily try 6 more times and either they wouldn't take or I could miscarry. Just feels like we still have a long Ivf road ahead of us. How do you feel about putting embryos in mid cycle? Someone suggested that to me as a possible solution, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. Or what about donating to someone you know struggling with infertility. I don't if that would be better or worse knowing who has your children.

I was also thinking about asking to do a natural cycle and put an embryo in mid cycle like you suggested. That way it was meant to be, it was meant to be.

Today I'm exactly 26 weeks so we're getting there. I think I'll be able to continue working close until the end because my boss encouraged me to work more from home is needed because it's going to be really tough to cover my workload since we all have districts and no one lives out my way and everyone is already overworked.

So I have a bunch of vacation time so I've been thinking last day of work will be July 1st and 36 weeks and 1 day. Of course who knows maybe they'll come before that!

I don't have the same 'problem' you ladies do with the extra embryos, but if we had some left I would def do the natural cycle you're talking about. I don't think I could afford all the meds, for 6 more rounds! Not to mention the effects that might have on our bodies. I def. Don't think I could know who had the embryos.

As far as my last day of work, luckily I'm a teacher so I'll have June 4th and after. So a whole possible month before little one arrives! I plan to use that time for finishing touches and nesting. I've done almost nothing due to family events, classes, and being too tired! Also plan on doing lots of preparation for post delivery- like padsicles and meals etc

Hi ladies, just checking in.

Since my last post I've passed the glucose test and so far my blood pressure has been great. This is so reassuring since before pregnancy I was in the obese category. We did a 3D ultrasound and had to return a second time because the anterior placentas being in the way and the babies not cooperating but we were able to get some images.

The babies room is done. We have all the essentials and a few extras. My work is getting together either a shower or a gift card. I know because someone let it slip that something was going on. :p

I didn't have an actual shower. My mother offered but I looked into prices and didn't feel comfortable asking anyone to foot the bill. We did register and people have actually bought gifts from the registry. I feel sad sometimes but I have gotten so much, I feel grateful too.

I'm still working but I work 2 days from home. I'm thinking my last day will be 37+1 as that will be a Friday. My employer told me that I'm eligible for 2 extra weeks in addition to FMLA.

It took me a while to show but now there's no denying it. People ask if twins run in the family. Sometimes I tell them about IVF and sometimes I say we just got lucky.

My nipples have only leaked once but if I squeeze them colostrum come out! My nipples are so chapped already I'm going to have to buy some cream. Makes me nervous about breastfeeding.

How are you ladies doing?

Glad you are doing well puppymom! I can't remember is it two girls? Or one of each?

I'm doing pretty well. 26 wks tomorrow. I can't remember if I mentioned this but at my 19wk ultrasound they found out I have complete placenta previa (which isn't likely to move which means I can't go into labor or I'll bleed and might lose the baby). They are going to check in 2 1/2 weeks to see if it has moved. Praying that it does but mostly praying for the baby to stay healthy and stay in there as long as possible. We've had several "fetal demises" lately at my work (I work as a RN in labor and delivery). Needless to say it's been heart breaking and unnerving. Trying to drink tons of water and stay positive.
In other news, we are getting closer to picking a name. What about you all? Any names picked out?! :)

Well this Thursday will bring the babies to 32 weeks. Started packing the hospital bag. Feeling very nervous about going into labor and the process of childbirth.

The plan is after maternity leave to balance working from home and going into work with my husband's schedule since he has alternating days off a week. But I don't know how that will work out so I've been thinking a back up would be hiring a nanny for a few days per week. It seems like that would be a lot cheaper than daycare which my husband is dead set against.

How is everyone else?

Hi ladies! Tomorrow brings me to 36 weeks!!! Bag is almost completely packed for hospital. Nursery is coming together. It's crazy! I still have two more weeks to teach summer school. Then it just turns into the waiting game!!! Should be pretty close to July 11th since we know all the info due to ivf.

My dr checked me last week, no dilation but she said I'm softening. Start weekly appointments now!

Jean you are getting so close!!

I went to L&D this past Saturday for pain. They told me everything looked normal but I found out from my OB today that there is sludgy bile in my gallbladder. He said it will likely clear up after pregnancy but he'll refer me to a Dr postpartum.

He also said since the babies are still breech that I'll most likely need a c section. My platelets are low. He doesn't think it'll be a problem and I'll be able to have a regular section but if something crazy happens and they drop further I'd need to be put under general anesthesia. I've googled foods to increase platelets and DH went out to get them. Worth a shot!

Going to stop working at 36 weeks 1 day - July 1St and c section scheduled for 38 weeks 1 day - July 15th.

Exciting puppymom!! Please keep us updated!

I found out I have gestational diabetes... Boo! But my placenta moved so I should be able to have a normal vaginally delivery... But will most likely be induced at 39wks.

Jean! How are you doing?!

Hi ladies! Puppy mom- you and I might be having our little ones around the same time! I'm due the 11 th and nothing to expect an early arrival, so I will be close to your 15. What does it feel like having a day picked out!? Btw I heard the gallbladder stuff is totally normal in pregnancy. My husband actually JUST had his out 3 weeks ago!

Sorry to hear about the diabetes Tess. Are they making you do something special about it now? How far along are you? Great news about your possible vaginal delivery though! So glad things shifted!

As for me I'm done working now. Still team green and not finalized on a name. Oops! Nursery is pretty much done, bag packed and waiting by the door. Crazy! Update me on what you two are doing!

Tess that's great that the placenta moved! How are you doing managing the diabetes?

Jean we will be close! Any indication that you might go.early or even late?

Today was my last day at work. It's been a super stressful week at work but I picked a good time to start leave because there is a big audit coming up. I've been increasingly uncomfortable and it's hard moving around.

Everyone is telling me horror stories about c sections and my husband and mother continue to think Baby A will turn and I can deliver vaginally. We've been told that at this point the babies are too big to turn. I just want to say Get over it, I'm having a c section!! But they won't accept it which I find very frustrating...

So surprise....SHE is here!!!

Team green welcomed a baby girl, Samantha, on June 29th!!!

Still in shock that my water broke at 38.2 days since everything is so exact with ivf. However she's here, she's lovely, and we are trying to get adjusted to this!

I'll type more later in a few days when I have my feet under me.

Btw- epidurals are magic and I loved mine lol
