I haven't been very crafty lately, but DH and I did install a drywall ceiling in our back porch. I'm very proud of us! That was after removing a horrendous fake brick wall and cement that was hiding the beautiful and REAL brick wall. I oscillate between crafter and home repairer/rehabber.

That totally counts! It's still making something with your hands. You should post before/after pics!

I will! But the completed after pictures won't happen for several months. We have the ceiling done and now need to install wainscoting, crown molding, flooring, paint everything (including the radiator covers) and also replace some electrical outlets and install new lights.

I feel like it's the never-ending project. I rehabbed the 10 double-hung windows last fall and this spring. The brick demo and ceiling installment took much longer than expected. I should know by now from all of the projects we've done that they take 3 to 4 times longer than you plan, but it still gets frustrating. The high heat and humidity and 2 little ones has also greatly slowed the project. I really want it DONE!

Awesome autumn! I don't think I could bring myself to undertake such a big project. I'll just stick to painting furniture, lol.

I wanna see pics, too!

This is why I like sewing projects. I can finish in a couple days. Otherwise I lose interest and start on something else / never finish.
