Postby MightyMarj » Tue Aug 09, 2011 10:55 am

Apparently Joanns and Hobby Lobby will be stocking a new line of cloth diaper sewing products in September. Sooo exciting!

Cool. I know it was exciting when they started to carry PUL fabric, but I think people had a lot of complaints with it. I hope that the new stuff are quality materials that make quality diapers that don't leak and such. Loved the prints I saw. Thanks for the link :)

Are their current PUL fabrics not waterproof? I've never tried them since they didn't have any prints.

The PUL is definitely supposed to be waterproof lol. And I know I have seen the print ones in the stores. I can think of two issues I have read though. One is that people made up diapers using it, and they ended up leaking. And two is that the Waterproof laminate on the PUL was put on the Wrong side of the ones with prints. I personally did not try any of it, so can't speak from experience.
Sometimes an issue with PUL too is that the waterproof part de-laminates from it after many wash and drying. I don't remember if people said that the Joann one did that. I just went to their site to look up their PUL and can't find it lol.

Hmmm... interesting. Hopefully since they're partnering with someone who knows about cloth diapers, the new products will be better.

My JoAnns now has a babyville section and it is so cool. You can get Everything you need to do the diapers including the snap pliers. They had two different books full of pattern pieces. I loved all the colors and cute embellishments they had available. I didn't buy anything, but am hoping its all good quality product :)
