I just saw on another post that you're 40 weeks! That's awesome--but I'm sorry that Charley hasn't arrived yet! I hope your at-home induction techniques work well. Definitely let us know what you did so we can use them if necessary! Hoping to hear a great birth story and see adorable pics soon!!!

So far still waiting

Trying -

Walks - long constant walks

Jumps/ stretches

Hot shower - trying bath tomorrow - I've been avoiding it as it involves getting up and down from almost ground level on a slippery surface, not fun lol

Massage - standard back, neck n shoulders at home massages not professional induction ones

Pressure points - acupressure - again at home - I studied animal accupuncture before and googled the pressure spots for labour In people

Spicy food- just made me gassy lol I don't usually eat it

Sex - but haven't tried that in a few days - not by choice but other things kept coming up lol trying this one again tomorrow

I'm seriously thinking of tryin raspberry extract in pills or tea- anyone have any info on this one ?? It's been recommended to me by a few friends & I've seen it in online lists but I'm still unsure- I haven't been brave enough to take anything this pregnancy, not even maxalon for nausea or pain killers the doctor assured me were safe.

Any more news Claire? I'm hoping you've gone into labor already. I don't know anything really about the red raspberry leaf stuff. Just that some women recommend it, but like you said, some places say not to take it because it hasn't been tested. I probably won't take it myself, just to stay on the safe side.

I had my 36 week check, everything is looking good still. I'm about 80% effaced, but not dialated. So a little progress going on down there. I think I'm going to start walking soon, now that I know she's probably not coming too early. I'm just really hoping she doesn't come so late that I have to be induced. But she'll come when she wants I suppose.

Updating from the hospital

I have high bp, probable pre eclampsia due to small me + av/big baby.
Had u/s which seems fine, internal, wee in cup, waiting for bloods now then bub monitoring for 20 mins.

If the bloods and monitor look ok ill go home Today and come back in early tomorrow to get induced tomorrow morning if not before.

2-3 cm dilated

Will keep u all posted

Still in being tested
Midwife said Charley is happy and my bloods were ok but they re took my BP and it was up again so they gave me a strange orange pill and I'm waiting for them to re take it and decide if I can go home tonight or if I'm locked in.
Poor DP is hungry, bored and getting impatient. He just wants to know what's happening

Sorry Claire, had a crazy busy weekend. Wow, being induced today! Sorry to hear you're having high blood pressure, I hope the induction goes well for you though. She's almost here! KUP!!!
