Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP with Irregular Cycles

Lean PCOS, 2nd Femara Round, BFP at 13DPO

Hi ladies, I wanted to share my BFP story to give some hope as so many of these stories helped me during our journey to conception. Background: me 29 lean PCOS with anovulatory/irregular cycles, DH 33 all normal. TTC for 3 months but I've been preparing my body for pregnancy for about 6 months thinking we would have a long journey ahead of us. I've been off BC for almost 2 years and was diagnosed with lean PCOS in October of 2016. Fertility testing revealed I had an AMH level of 11.6 in December, that same month I was put on Provera to bring on my period as I hadn't had it in almost 3 months. My next cycle was 56 days long (I did finally ovulate on my own!) and in January I started round 1 of Femara at 2.5 mg. I ovulated on CD 18 and had every pregnancy symptom in the book but it was all just PMS; after not ovulating for a few months I had forgotten how awful the luteal phase (a record 15 days long) could be. In February I started my second round of Femara, 2.5 mg, and decided to really relax, pray and trust my body and The Lord to make things happen. I temp every morning, use OPKS during my expected fertile time, drink raspberry leaf tea and take CoQ10, magnesium, B complex, a prenatal and Zinc with chelated copper. I've cut out all gluten, most cow dairy, all caffeine, all soy and curbed my sugar and alcohol intake since September 2016. I read Taking Charge of your Fertility and WomanCode and exercised frequently. As far as BD goes, we used Preseed, Soft Cups (when they didn't totally hurt me!) and lying with hips elevated for an hour or so after each time. I didn't record much day to day, I was trying to be really cool and relaxed about it all (cannot recommend enough), but here's what I noticed was different: + OPKs on CD 15 & 16 O on CD 17 BD on CD 13, CD 15, twice CD 16, CD 17 1-4 DPO: my boobs aren't the least bit sore, they always are right after O. Can't catch my breath sort of anxiety for no reason and major insomnia that hit right at 4 am each morning. 3 DPO: I had a fall back rise, a temp well below the coverline that I've never had before indicative of an estrogen surge 4 DPO: had a urine test done at GP and I had an elevated white blood cell count, perhaps a super early sign? 5 DPO: boobs start to hurt, awful "throwing up in my mouth a little bit" all day, thought it might have been from the wine I had at lunch (we were on a weekend getaway and I threw caution to the wind alcohol wise!) My CM went from yellow-y EWCM 2-4 DPO to stiff creamy peaks, I had a ton of it everyday when I checked CP, to shiny lotion-y when I wiped. Freezing all day and all night, I cannot warm up. Lots of twinges and little cramps in ovaries. Instead of my usual upset stomach and diarrhea during the TWW, I was a little bit constipated. 7 DPO I had a little bit of blood when I blew my nose. 10 DPO by boobs are canon balls, veins are all over them, my stomach and upper thighs. I'm in the best mood ever compared to the deranged tyrant I usually am in the TWW. No acne! Unheard of for me. 13 DPO I took two digital tests (all I had!) in the afternoon and both were BFP! 15 DPO & 17 DPO FRERs come up BFP right away! Present symptoms: nausea waves, they're a real thing! Boobs are extra swollen and very tender. Some ovulation type cramping and lower back ache. Outrageous thirst and frequent urination. Napping and going to bed at 9:30 every night. I am not complaining about any of it! I am praying for a healthy nine months and for each and every one of you to get your BFPs!

BFP at 12DPO after 2 years of trying...

I have been visiting this web site since few months and It helped me a lot with my two week wait and with all my crazy questions. Finally got my BFP on March 2nd on a dollar tree HPT. Blood test same day and again after a week, both came positive and normal. Having my 7 weeks ultrasound this March 23rd. hoping to hear the heartbeats. My journey: I have PCOS and my cycles were really long. Metformin, yoga and PCOS diet (low carbs) helped with my cycles and I lost over 25 pounds since last year. My cycles started getting regular and shorter, between 32 to 37 for last four months which is great for a PCOS patient. I started ovulating on my own and exactly cycle date 17-18. Before I was not sure if I was ovulating since my cycles were very unpredictable. This was my 4th round of clomid 50 mg and got my BFP at 12 DPO. Things we tried this cycle: Clomid (day 5-9) Preseed soft cups (highly recommend) Ovasitol metformin My symptoms: Sore and tender breasts frequent trips to bathroom strong smell very light on and of cramps light spotting Do not loose hope or stress yourself. God has better plans for us. I thank god every single day now:))

BFP after 2 years of trying!

I have PCOS, and man was it a roller coaster trying to get pregnant. This month, I'll tell you everything we changed, we changed a lot of things, so not sure which one exactly helped us. Here it goes My husband quit smoking 3 months ago. This month, he had given up alcohol for lent and I'd given up sweets. (no processed sugar) We used the last of our pre-seed I drank red raspberry leaf tea every day this month We've been consistently exercising the past 2 months, and I have lost nearly 20 lbs. We have sex EVERY day after my period ended. Every day. That way, we wouldn't miss ovulation. Now for symptoms. During Ovulation, I had intense sex drive. I wanted to hump my hubby all day lol sorry TMI, usual ovulation cramps, and some sore boobs that only lasted 2 days. 1-9 DPO nothing really a little backache, occasionally, but that's normal for me, so I ignored it. The thing that stood out during this time was insanely vivid dreams, not about being pregnant, just in general. 10 DPO, I noticed that my CM wasn't drying up like normal, and that it was kind of a creamy watery mix, and there was a lot of it (this continues today). I also experienced a kind of flushing of my face on and off for the next few days. Little insomnia. Spotting, though AF was on the way, but then nothing for the rest of the day or subsequent days. 11 DPO My breasts started to feel full, again not unusual, no pain just full, and I was exhausted. I was tentative to say this was a symptom, because we've had some long days while moving, but man was I pooped. Fullness in my lower abdomen like I've never really felt. It was almost like it was full and firmer than the rest of my tummy. 12 DPO I was so tired again, incredibly thirsty. I couldn't get enough water which is strange because I keep pretty well hydrated, I had a backache, dizziness in the afternoon, and my boobs were sore. I also noticed my actual nipples seemed to be a little wider and more perky than usual. 13 DPO, I finally took a test middle of the day with no hold, and I got a positive immediately! So excited to tell hubby!

BFP at DPO 19 2nd round of clomid 100mg

I've been stalking this board for months and I'm excited to finally share my BFP story. I went off birth control in June of 2016 and experienced extremely irregular periods- after a 56 day and a 62 day cycle, I saw my doctor and he referred me to a an OB/GYN with fertility experience. Upon further inspection, it was clear that my ovulation had perhaps never been normal- and he suggested I try Clomid. I was relieved to finally have a way to get back on track with TTC.... and sure enough, after one cycle of 50mg days 3-5 I got that illusive solid smiley face on CD18. We BD'd at all the right times, and I experienced every symptom in the book before getting a negative pregnancy test two weeks later. I was sad but at least happy I had ovulated. The next cycle I took 100mg of Clomid on days 2-6, partially by mistake with the increased dose (the pharmacy automatically increased my dose by 50mg every month, and I followed the instructions without thinking much about it... oops....) and I am pretty sure I ovulated from BOTH ovaries on CD21. We BD'd on CD17, 19, 21, 22 and 23. Here we go with a day by day report: 1 DPO: Brownish spotting, didn't have this last cycle. Learned it must be ovulation spotting 2-3 DPO: some pink spotting but not sure if it was from just constantly looking for spotting and causing some irritation or what. I think it was self-inflicted. 3-6 DPO: HOT constantly. I complained enough at work that someone on my team asked me if she wanted her to buy me a fan. Lol. Another oops. VIVID dreams. Like crazy vivid. Pelvic pain on both sides, feeling like eggs were moving down both fallopian tubes (call me crazy, but clomid ovulation is like a freight train...) 6-10 DPO: same, felt like I was sneezing more, gums felt sore here and there, more dreams, some cramping in my uterine area. It felt like the first day of my period- that heavy, achey feeling. A few sharp pains around my uterus and some ovary pains. Random sharp pains but not bad sharp, just noticeable. 10-14 DPO: boobs started to hurt. At first just nipples, then a bit on the sides. CM started to pick up- enough that I kept thinking it was my period. Paranoia setting in. Frantically looking for implantation bleeding! Lol, silly I know! 14-19 DPO: Go on a trip that included a wedding. Slept on every flight, in every car ride, and the moment my head hit the bed. Resisting the urge to test because I couldn't face a BFN. But the ridiculous exhaustion should have tipped me off! This might be TMI, but I have violent stomach problems on 15 DPO :) It ended after half a day, so who knows what it was... but man, that sucked. Boobs got more sore every day, started to feel achey when I took a morning run. Getting more tired. Peeing CONSTANTLY. Like every 45 minutes. Finally, this morning using FMU, on 19DPO with ragingly obvious symptoms, I got the most positive tests I could imagine. Woke up my husband at 8am still shaking from the excitement of seeing the second line show up. Took another test later in the day (the one with the cross result)- and got a strong positive after maybe holding my pee for 30 minutes. So yeah, I'm knocked up! This is a first child for us and we are so excited to be another Clomid success story. Now praying for sticky baby dust!

BFP success story with IUI and PCOS (some advice on what REALLY works included)

I am currently in my 9th week and have been on various forums for years waiting to write my own story. This journey taught me a lot about myself and taught me not compare myself to others because we all have individual needs and challenges. I am 31 and have had PCOS since the age of 13. I am not overweight but have always been careful about what I eat as can easily put on weight while my friends could stuff their face with no consequences. I also hardly had periods on my own - had to take birth control hormones to bring my cycle for years. Wish I never did as once you are ready to conceive your body has been messed up by pills and depleted you of certain vitamins. Takes a while to get back to normal. I have been trying to conceive since the age of 28. I had two failed pregnancies : at the age of 29 - miscarried at 5 weeks (conceived naturally) at the age of 30 - ectopic pregnancy after IUI (no tubes were lost due to methotrexate working for me) In total I had 3 IUIs and the last one worked! YAY! 12/26/16 1st day period 12/28/16-1/1/17 femara 01/06 hcg shot 250 01/07 and 01/08: two days of IUU (42 mln sperm) and 01/08 (23 mln sperm) 01/17 BFP!! faint positive 01/19 BFP!! bright positive 01/20 BFP!! confirmed positive blood test HCG 126 01/24 HCg 965 01/26 HCg 2299 ADVICE FOR WOMEN WITH PCOS: I finally got pregnant and attribute it to really CLEANING what I eat and what my husbands eats. I have cut out ALL processed foods, ALL processed Sugar, started juicing every day (mainly 80% veggies, 20% fruit) juices, mostly GREEN (incl kale, spinach, ginger, cucumber, celery, green apple etc). Started eating a clean diet: vegetables, fruit, nuts, fish, meat, chicken, high protein grains like quinoa, buckwheat. We both started taking high quality supplements such as Coast Science PCOS and Coast Science Male Fertility supplement, and some others like Vitamin D, COQ10. Also I went to a well known fertility clinic from the beginning and followed the recommendations of the doctor who was very precise and methodical. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE IS NO EASY FIX WHEN YOU HAVE PCOS BUT YOU NEED TO COMMIT YOURSELF TO LIFESTYLES AND DIET CHANGES. NO EXCEPTIONS. IT TOOK ME MONTHS TO REALLY TO DETOX AND FOR MY BODY TO FINALLY CONCEIVE. Also Green Juicing Brought my period back after about a month of juicing! If you regulate your cycles, and clean your diet your body will be in a much better position to conceive and most importantly KEEP the baby. Wishing everyone success in this important pursuit!

*~BFP on 11dpo with Wondfo, symptoms match up with AF exactly ~*

Hello everyone~ I've been TTC for 11 months. Next month we would have been going in for fertility tests if we didn't conceive this month. Surprisingly, although I've tracked symptoms this last month more than any month before, this was the most normal and symptom-free month. I was pretty confident that I was out this month and I was fine with that. The *only* differences were that I got headrush several times after Ovulation. Also, I did feel more exhausted 5dpo - 9dpo than usual, but I was away from home for a week with coworkers, and I blamed the exhaustion on working for long amounts of time and being around so many people for so long. Other months I've sworn 50 times I was pregnant when I wasn't, had the most pregnant symptoms ever and even convinced myself I was pregnant even after getting AF. It was all worse because my cycles are wildly irregular, and I felt like every month I was getting a new "pregnancy" symptom that I hadn't had before. The only change this month in TTC was that I was using Wondfo OPKs to pinpoint Ovulation. I've previously tracked my CM, which also has helped. I also had a bunch of cheap Wondfo HPTs that I got with the OPKs. If it weren't for those cheap Wondfos, I probably would have still not known that I was pregnant (bc I don't like to spend money on expensive drug store HPTs especially if I think I'm out). Here are symptoms by day: CD17: creamy CM, dry rubbery CM at night, <1 min of aching on the r. side of my chest, Wondfo OPK: negative CD 18: OPK positive, ewcm, BD! CD19 (Ovulation Day): OPK still positive, ewcm, acid reflux, headrush, really high sex drive (this is why I think it was O day), BD! 1DPO: OPK still positive, woke up often at night, ewcm, BD! 2DPO: OPK negative, not much cm 3DPO: not much creamy cm 4DPO: not much cm throughout the day, but had one moment of a LOT of cm at once 5DPO: started off with high energy, end of day EXHAUSTED! small amount of creamy cm and headrush 6DPO: high energy, little bit of creamy cm 7DPO: dry cm except for a LOT of creamy cm at one moment, headrush, extremely exhausted (I blamed this on being on a work retreat for the last week--I'm usually not around so many people 24/7 for an entire week), did not want to be intimate bc tired 8DPO: dry cm except for a LOT of creamy cm at one moment, EXHAUSTED, cried (with happiness) when S-I-L told me she's preggo. Lol, I had no idea that I was too :P 9DPO: small amount of creamy cm, exhausted, took my first hpt and had BFN. wasn't expecting anything this cycle bc I felt very normal. 10DPO: feeling PMS-y, warned my DH that AF is coming, tender breasts (this is all normal for AF), bfn 11DPO: that morning, I had a dream that I got two very dark BFPs. I tested in the morning with Wondfo and had two faint positives, but I started distrusting Wondfo's, but was obsessing and researching it all day. no cm at all, totally normal to dry up before AF. high energy, breasts were aching. The only difference with breast achiness is that sometimes they were getting this poky feeling from the inside in an for a couple seconds, maybe 1-2 times a day. The areas of the pokiness changed every time. Nipples totally didn't hurt and still don't. 12DPO: Got BFP on Clearblue and FRER, and on two Wondfos!!! I would have never believed it if I didn't have the cheap tests to begin with, because I still feel so normal. Started getting AF like cramps. Told my DH and both in disbelief. 13DPO (today): AF like cramps. They are on and off throughout the day, just like before AF. It sometimes comes on when stretching awkwardly, just like with AF. So there's no difference. Still getting the occasional breast pokiness in certain areas. Besides that, no other symptoms at all. No food aversions, no smell sensitivities, no nipple darkening, no itchiness, no burpiness/gassiness, no irritability... it's hard to believe that I have someone in there!

TTC 4 months with retroverted uterus

My husband and I have been trying for 4 months and finally got our BFP!! I've followed this forum from the start of our TTC journey and am happy to be able to post:) I just turned 30. I got off the pill in September right before our wedding didn't try for that month, just enjoyed each other and let the hormones from the pill wear off. Started trying the next cycle and went 3 cycles unsuccessful. I have a retroverted uterus, so I figured that could be slowing us down. So after BDing, I made sure I didn't lay down for the 20-30 minutes just on my back but also on my stomach. Also this cycle I used my finger to massage my cervix after BDing in order to get his stuff all around the opening (just a little tid bit... something worked). Now, here we are starting the year out with a new home and pregnant:) I pray this one is sticky! Good luck ladies!! 1 DPO: Nothing, felt great 2 DPO: Nothing 3 DPO: Nothing 4 DPO: Cramps 5 DPO: Backache, fatigue, school glue CM 6 DPO: Emotional and sad (typical for this time in my cycle), fatigue, heartburn, body aches (we are moving, could be that. Just bought a house!) 7 DPO: Heartburn, increased appetite, tender beasts (I normally have tender breasts at this point). Mood swings and emotional, got in a fight with hubby and screamed at him... I never do that 8 DPO: Tender breasts (normal), bbt dip (implantation?) 9 DPO: Headache, tender breasts (more than normal), increased appetite. FMU with cheapie BFN 10 DPO: Headache, more tender breast, high temp, school glue CM, peeing more at work. Took 3 internet cheapies with very very faint lines all 3 times.... ahhhhh! Snuck out to target to buy FRER regular and digital. Clear line on regular FRER and digital YES+!! BFP!!! 11 DPO: Tender breaths, stronger BFP on FRER, fatigued at work, didn't sleep well, too excited. Getting a head cold:( 12 DPO: Tender Breasts and full on head cold! Still happy as ever to finally be stage in my life:) Perfect way to start my 30: marriage, house, and pregnant... time to do some real adulting! Note: The early result Wondfos barely picked up my pregnancy at 10 DPO, while the FRER was clear as day and digital said Yes+. Not bad for how cheap they are, but if you think you might see a very faint line on a cheapie, do yourself a favor and run out and grab a more expensive early result test:)

BFP with very irregular cycles!

I am sharing my story here, hoping it will help the women with irregular and anovulatory cycles. I have always had irregular cycles, ranging from 29 to 61 days. When we started TTC 8 months ago, I had little hope that getting pregnant would be easy. I had two very long (61 and 54 days) anovulatory cycles right when we started. Four months passed with no hope of me getting pregnant. Then I started taking Agnus Castus (Vitex) daily. Finally I started ovulating again, if very late (CD22 to CD26)! We timed BD perfectly, but 3 more months passed with no results. Then, this month, I started using Preseed and taking Antenatal pills (Biocare), and boom, pregnant! Not sure if it's thanks to Preseed or the antenatal pills, but they surely didn't hurt. However, I would recommend to anyone who has very irregular cycles and is not sure they're ovulating Agnus Castus. I am sure it did kickstart my body into ovulating again. In terms of symptoms, I had almost zero. In fact I was convinced I wasn't pregnant! 1DPO - Sore breasts, but this is completely normal for me post-ovulation, so not a symptom really 2DPO to 8DPO - Nothing, except my breasts being very tender 9 DPO - Sore breasts, watery CM, very light cramps, barely noticeable. BFN 10DPO - More sore breasts. BFN 11DPO - Very faint line on internet cheapie, but it didn't look like an evap. I bought a FRER to double check and voila, BFP! To everyone who is worrying because they ovulate late, don't worry, you can still get pregnant! This is my first, hope everything goes well!

BFP at DPO 10

This is our second cycle "trying" for baby #2. The first cycle my husband was out of town so I knew we had missed our fertile window. We weren't trying that hard as I wasn't temping or doing it a ton or anything. We just had frequent sex during EWCM which is how we conceived baby #1. This time, I used OPK to confirm ovulation. I have irregular cycles which are always long. I ovulated on CD 28. I was drinking moon cycle tea this cycle to try and regulate this cycle to a shorter length and it seemed to be working for me. Here are my symptoms: DPO 1-4: nothing, tired DPO 5: tired, backache, boobs a little sore, mild cramps DPO 6: backache, boobs sore, irritable DPO 7: cramping a lot at night while sleeping, moody DPO 8: boobs sore, BFN DPO 9: super emotional and crying, BFN and thinking I am now out since this is when I got a BFP with baby #1 DPO 10: couldn't use FMU because I was so tired and wanted to go back to sleep, very very faint BFP 2 hours later Our son will be 8 months tomorrow so we are going to have two babies close in age (16 months apart), I am a little scared and worried about that but mostly happy. Hoping for a successful pregnancy! Good luck to everyone!
