Boosting Sperm Count

If your husband or boyfriend has low sperm count that can be extremely discouraging while TTC. My husband was tested in June 2012 and his count was 30 million. Low, but not too much of a concern to my doctor. In October he had another analysis and this time is count was 11 million. We ordered FertilAid and CountBoost right away.

Around that time my husband discovered he had a gluten intolerance. So we cut gluten out of our diet. After researching ways to boost sperm count I read an article that explained that gluten can block the body's absorption of zinc - Zinc is one of the most important nutrients in sperm development. I read this in January about a week before my husband's next analysis.

We expected that his count would have improved from three months of FertilAid and two months of CountBoost. But could not have foreseen how much!

His January count was 112 million! My doctor called me personally to ask what we have done differently. I told him about the supplements and how we cut out gluten. He said the supplements helped, but the gluten probably made the biggest difference.

So if your significant other has a low count - it's worth a shot!

Just an FYI

Vitamin b6 causes the metallic taste in my mouth, very similar to the taste during early pregnancy.

TTC for 2yrs

Hello! My name is Sabrina. My husband and I have been together for 6yrs, married for 2, and have been TTC for 2 yrs. We've been throug all the tests, my DH had surgery in Oct for varicocele. Dr said 3 mnths we will know if surgery made a diff, but we are still hopeful each mnth until then. Every cycle we track ovulation, the enter into the TWW with hope. I have 7 days until AF and it's so hard not to get my hopes up. Each mnth during TWW we seem to find similar symtoms, but always BFN. We pray this is our mnth! Ive had a few symptoms. Dry eyes, light cramping, tender breasts, gassy. But i always find an alternative for these symptoms. After 2 yrs we are not ready to give up, but its very discouraging. Especially when eveyone around us seems to be getting pregnant. We have faith in God and his plan for us. My husband is amazing, and stays positive. Each mnth when we get a BFN he always says "next mnth is our mnth!" I'm blessed to have him, but its really comforting reading all of the diff stories posted by other women! Well thats my journey so far!!!! Thanks for listening!!

Walnuts For Fertility in Men

A recent study came out about walnuts and how they can improve sperm quality. I just got my bfp and we were trying for 9 months. In September my husband started eating a small bag of walnuts a day... Obviously I am unsure if that's why we got a bfp, but it can't hurt!! Here is the info...

A Couple of Tips...

I would like to add that I used the ovulation predictor iphone app in conjunction with the 30 day ovulation kit that I got from CVS. I realized that we weren't getting pregnant previously for several reasons. First of all, we were waiting for a positive on the ovulation predictor test and by then the surge indicated that I'd already started ovulating, so this month we had sex two days before my positive test strip and 1 day before the EPT app suggested that we should. Also, we used kama sutra positions specifically for deep penetration. Lastly, we simultaneously had O which I truly believe contributed to our success this cycle. Good luck everybody!!

Losing Hope

It has been a total of 4 years that I have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, NEVER NOT ONCE have I had a pregnancy scare, I get a period EVERY month, I time my ovulation each month.... nothing works, we have constant sex, granted I am young. But you would think this is the time of my life I am most fertile, I have done the most powerful remedy and that's PRAY but even that doesn't work. I talked to my doctor, she isn't very helpful. I don't understand. I don't know any logical reason why I cant get pregnant. If someone is reading this and has been through this please comment, I could really use the encouragement and support. I'm lost and confused and desperately want to get pregnant.

How Can I Better My Chances For a BFP?

So I'm 27 with dd who's 8 an ds who's 5. I came off bc in June and been ntnp. I really thought this month we had done it. I had all the symptoms and af was 3 days late which never happened before, then she came in full force. I was so upset and it made me realize how much I want this so this cycle I want to do it right. I have never charted, used opks or temps. I just bd and hope for the best. I'm a personal trainer so I exercise and eat well. Can u ladies give me any tips or advice to better my chances for a BFP? Thank you.

TTC 7 Years

My fiance and I have been TTC for 7 years now. We've been to doctors. He had his sperm counted and it came back extremely low. Dr told him that it was still not impossible. Would just take longer than the average couple. 2 years later, we had a False Positive PG Test result. Crushed us BAD. I decided it was time for myself to see the Dr as well. He ran all kinds of tests. Blood work, dye into my tubes, you name it, he did it. We finally decided to have an IUI done after my Fiance's 2nd Sperm Count. That one showed that he has a count of 10,000. That's EXTREMELY Low. Dr told us it would be a miracle if we conceived with his sperm. So we ordered sperm from an online sperm bank. Had it sent to the Dr's office. Dr had me on Clomid. I took the Clomid as prescribed. We went in for the IUI and had it done. It failed :( That was enough to kill us. We both cried for weeks. Dr wanted to see me again to do the dye into my tubes test. He did that and found out that my left fallopian tube is all scrunched up. He said there was no possible way an egg can pass through. I also have a tilted cervix and PCOS. I get my menstrual if I'm lucky 3 times a year. I was put on BC to regulate my cycles. We were then given Clomid again and were told to try on our own. After another 3 cycles using the Clomid, we still were unsuccessful. I stopped seeing the dr and pretty much gave up. I started seeing the dr again 3-4 months later. They weren't going to give me anything else because the specialists in that area all left and went elsewhere. I begged them to give me at least 1 more months worth of Clomid so we could try again on our own. I was given a 4 month supply. My fiance and I now have a mutual family friend who is willing to donate for us. He is coming over tomorrow for the first attempt. I just completed one round of Clomid and I'm ovulating. All fingers crossed that this works!! I will NOT be sleeping with the donor however. I have Soft Cups. The donor is going to jack off into the soft cup and then the soft cup will be put into me. This will hold the sperm right up against my cervix giving the sperm a better chance of swimming up in. Prayers and baby dust are needed PLEASE!! Thank You!

When Do I Expect My Period?

Guys I am trying to conceive since Sep 11th (had my period from 4-11th) and got my period or bleeding on 6th Oct (stared spotting on 4th Oct, my period expected date) without any cramping (I usually have heavy cramping) and the bleeding was below my normal flow. It stopped on 11th Oct and on 21st again spotted brown-light pink, then started bleeding 22nd night, this time too without cramping and less than normal flow.

So now do I expect my period on 4th of Nov (I know it's already past 4th but wanna know) or 21st Nov? (assuming I have 28-30 day cycles)

Lost All Hope

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 1.5 years. I am 33 and my husband is 41. They say that I have unexplained infertility. The last two months we have done IUI. The first time I had two large eggs, sperm count great and nothing. This past month I had FOUR large eggs, sperm count great and then put me on progesterone. Went in for blood work yesterday and still not pregnant. At this point, I have just lost all hope. If we are doing IUI with optimum eggs, sperm, timing and they are injecting directly into cervix and I am still not pregnant how is it ever possible? Everyone that I have spoken to about it just says "it will happen, just wait". Well that gets annoying because it quite possibly will NOT happen. I have been so positive up until yesterday when I got the news. Anyone with any advice? Why it wouldn't work, suggestions? Is it possible that my body can just not get pregnant?
