One day AF - help!

Postby Jules2016 » Thu Feb 11, 2016 3:54 pm

Hi all

I'm new here and hope you can help. DH and I (coming up to mid 30s) have been ttc for #1 for more than 20 months.

We had tests done where DH is fine but I've high fsh of 13.5 and low amh (I think 2.x or 3.x). Progesterone isn't at its best too.

I've a 31-33 days cycle and ovulate 14 days before AF is due. Used the dual digital opk by CB which confirmed it and I ovulated 14 days ago.

I had medium to heavy cramp with dark but light spotting last night. Cramping lasted the whole night as I felt it in my sleep but not that bad that I have to take painkillers. CD32 today and AF started... Or so it seems but it's already almost finished. Flow is medium to light and color is dark red. Sorry tmi. Def need to use a pad but not heavy enough to change it like I should om day 1. I still changed whenever I used the toilet out of cleanliness. But it doesn't flow like it used to.

I'm slightly concerned with what's going on with my AF. This is a abnormal. I am not pregnant as I don't have any pregnancy symptoms. I don't think I'm going into menopause as I haven't experienced hit flushes, well I hope not.

Has anyone experiences something similar? What's happening to me? :(

Hello. I think you should still take hpt test or get betas drawn once to confirm about pregnancy. Hopefully, what you got was only implantation bleeding, which can be heavy for some females. I did have light periods last two cycles, but was told that it can be due to clomid. So fxing, things are different for you. Good luck

Jules- I have been off the pill since Sept but before that was on it for 16 years. Every month my AF was like 1 or 2 days only, it was a flow not spotting, but didn't last long. I was concerned I was not ovulating. But I got my fit's BFP this week!!! So apparently it's normal even though mine were actually longer on the pill. I say in hindsight try not to worry and pray a lot. That's what I did!

Congratulations lizzie! Have a healthy pregnancy ahead. Good to know that. My periods have also lightened up a lot. Your story gives me hope.
